Last night's episode was a let down. After a hiatus and all the "return" hype, it didn't have enough intrigue to fly.
They really need to get some new storylines. We've already been through the "Rachel leaving the Glee Club" storyline.
They need to have a huge cliffhanger to keep the show going into the Fall season.
And I agree that Idina didn't look so good. I don't know if it was designed for her to look haggard or whether they just didn't do a good job, but she didn't look good.

Funny, I thought Idina looked exactly like a slightly overworked/overstressed teacher would look.
I gave the episode a B. Not blown away, but watchable.
I think they had to do a restart after 4 months, so I am hoping this is just the warm-up until they go full on wacky and wonderful.

The preview clip where Sue was talking about her love for Madonna looked promising, YWIW!
I thought Idina looked good. I enjoyed seeing Lea and Jonathan together...can't help it.

Yeah, next week looks like the real explosion after the warmup.
If the Vogue video is any clue, it will be watchable an re-watchable over and over again.
Anyone know if Idina is going to sing as well?

Posted: 4/14/10 at 12:07pmIdina has a baby at home, so maybe that's why she looked so tired.

I would guess they would have Idina sing though I don't remember seeing anything listed yet.
Matt & Kristen will be performing Fire by The Pointer Sisters.

So I'm basically obsessed with 4 Minutes right now. SO GOOD GAHHH
I mean partly I just think the song is really cool, but Chris and Amber also sound absolutely awesome!!
SO happy Chris is getting to sing more
And Like A Virgin is great too! WHY has Naya never had any solos before!? She's got a fantastic voice. And Lea and Groff sound wonderful together, as always

Posted: 4/20/10 at 10:09amI just checked my scheduled recordings online, and it does have Glee starting at 8:59. I always have it set to go a few minutes past the end times for everything.

I enjoyed it. Nothing much happened plot wise, but the songs were good.
Isn't that how it usually goes?

Yeah, I really liked this episode! It actually confuses me a little bit that so many people seem to have disliked it, just because the reviews of it from people who's seen it in advance were so good too!
Sure, it didn't exactly have a whole lot of story line to it, but I never expected it to. It was a tribute to Madonna! This episode was way more about the music, and also about the cultural impact Madonna had in terms of female empowerment
There'll be other upcoming episodes that are heavy on the character development, but for what it was, I thought Power Of Madonna was great :) Awesome music, some really funny lines, nice female empowerment message- it was lots of fun!

"it didn't exactly have a whole lot of story line to it, but I never expected it to"
Am I mistaken, or does this not pretty much cover the GLEE phenomenon?
