Texas Republicans 2012 Platform Opposes Critical Thinking and Supports Corporal Punishment
This week, the Republican Party of Texas released its official 2012 platform, with provisions including the repeal of the Voting Rights Act, recommendations for the use of corporal punishment in classrooms, and opposition to the teaching of “higher order thinking skills.”

Hey, at least they're being honest.
That's a step in the right direction.
Right?
Republicans are opposed to critical thinking and logic for the same reasons that bears are opposed to bear hunting.
Funny how they want to bring back corporal punishment, because I just read this article saying spanking leads to mental illness.
So, they want to raise children who are mentally impaired and have no higher order thinking skills.
Nice. Perfect way to keep the population in line.

All the attacks on higher education, particularly in the liberal arts, have all been pointing to this. The know-nothings really do want an electorate that knows nothing.

There's this principle, too -
"Self-sufficient families, founded on the traditional marriage of a natural man and a natural woman."
Anderson Cooper makes ME feel like a natural woman. Does that count???

Probably not, unless you are a fetus. Gay people bad. Fetus good.
And gay fetuses?

Free abortions on demand for innocent mamas burdened with gay fetii!
TRICK QUESTION.
There are no gay fetuses because being gay is a choice!
