State party denies table to Log Cabin Republicans...
Isn't "Gay Republican" an oxymoron???
GOP gay group booted from N.C. convention
Republics or Gays?
well, it is afterall north carolina. ahh, the life of a republican, wake up, remove foot from mouth of nearest republican politician, brace for onslaught from friends. i dream of a day, just one, that goes by without me having to read about a republican doing something uproriously stupid.

To quote George Herbert Walker Bush, "Nahtguhdoit, nahtguhhhhhahappen."
I can't wait till the Log Cabin boys come to the convention in New York -- arriving, en masse in the back of the Rosa Parks Memorial Bus, Bush-Cheney emblazed on the side. I hope they pop up in queer watering holes, flag pins in the lapels of their new Hilfiger vacation wear. Whereas a lotta gay men want to see HAIRSPRAY, drink, and maybe get laid, they'll spend every cocktail evening hoping to spot Andrew Sullivan out n'about. (To make this little joke work, I tried to think of a gay Republican celebrity for them to snap with their old Brownie cameras from granny ... and Andrew was it. Don't that say it all, y'all?)
It would be good to not have to be on the defensive all the time. I've thought about changing parties... but I'm not going to change my political ideals to make life easier.
The democratic party 30%
The republican party 70%
GOP wins.

nahtguhhhhhahappen -- isn't there an *N* after all those aitches? Namo -- you are always such an excellent speller too.
and we don't legislate women's uteruses either!
woo, just saw this thread. Gay Republicans shunned...to which I say, "As they should be."
Reminds me of the joke in Avenue Q.
Well...should anyone really be suprised by this news?
Maybe between this and the Constitutional Amendment "politics", these one million voters will indeed vote against Bush as has been thought of recent.

They're claiming there's a million of them.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Liars!
Excuse me.
Well.. if the 1 in 10 myth holds to be somewhat true, that should apply to republicans to, non?
Based on that there's surely over a million republican homosexuals. Whether or not they admit it to themselves or others is another case.
all i can think of when i see the word "shun" is the grandfather in witness warning kelly mcgillis not to dance with the devil by the pale moonlight or teen wolf will be gone in 60 seconds with her bop shoo bop.

"Well.. if the 1 in 10 myth holds to be somewhat true,"
Myths, by their very nature, are untrue. And, just applying some basic statistics here, even if 1 in 10 people in the general population are gay (which they are not, approximately 1-2% of the population is gay) this does not hold true for every population. 1 in 10 Republicans is not gay. Just because they put on dresses and service each other does not make them gay.
So frat boys are Republicans?
I was a frat boy. That world is rife with homoeroticism.
"somewhat true". The somewhat is a very important qualifier. It helps to read things that confuse you very, very slowly.
i was never a frat boy, but i did get thrown out of my share of frat parties.

Chris, myths, by definition, can not be "somewhat" true. Just like a woman can't be a little bit pregnant.
depends on which definition you use...from webster's -
