I keep seeing the ad for this movie about Georgia O'Keefe that will air mid-September on Lifetime starring Joan Allen. This combines one of my favorite artists with one of my favorite actresses. Anyone else looking forward to it? I know it's a Lifetime movie but I'm hoping it will be good!

I am looking forward to it. I love anything about artists. Especially when it's about two major artists! Hope it's good~

I believe the lady spelled her last name "O'Keeffe"
I became acquainted with her work and her life while visiting Santa Fe, NM a few years ago. She's a better-than-decent artist (really she was a botanical illustrator), but her personal life was pretty bold and she stands out as being a truly unique individual. The television special should be very interesting.
I love Allen, but I don't think Georgia had any facelifts or botox. I think this is why I frown upon plastic surgery for serious actresses.
I think that if this is a biopic, they need an actress who hasn't aged yet to play the young O'Keeffe. Then they can adjust her makeup as she ages. I don't think that's possible if they use a naturally aged old actress to begin the film.
I'm anxious to see how Stieglitz is portrayed. Their story is quite interesting.
When anyone hears when it will air, please post it here! I'd love to see this movie!
I do agree about having a younger actress and aging her with makeup though.
Stockard, it airs 9/19 at 9 pm. (another bunch of 9's!)
