Just spoke to Marc and as he says, "COMPOSER DOWN!!"
Apparently Marc was leaving his house this afternoon and on the stairs managed to twist his leg/knee whilst hearing a "rench. rench. rench." sound.
He is back home (with crutches) after visiting the clinic (there's no ER where he is at the moment) and in bed.
He sends his best and I am sure will be posting soon after he's able to figure out how to balance the laptop on his lap without screaming bloody murder...

Gevalt! Its the curse of Sholom Aleichem for not spelling Lazar right! Quick spit thru your first two fingers" Piu Piu Piu!.
Now real recomends:
I-Ice on the site to reduce swelling put a tea towel around either a zip loc full of ice or a bag of frozen peas (Shapes Better) Do not leave in place more than 15 mins @ a time in an hr
C-compression if u have an ace bandage rap it in a figure 8 style around the knee to reduce swelling as well.
E-elevate the leg on pillows & above the level of yr heart ( obviously when lying down!) otherwise the elevation doesn't really help
R- rest yes it is important but not as impt as the others.
See a sports med Dr asap. for further advice
NSAIDS like motrin or aleve but i have found of limited benefit.
Also I have found the ice is only really good for the 1st 48 hrs After that heat works better. But get thee to an orthopod!
Meanwhile I'll light candles & say prayers. Get Bettah Soonest!

#8What REALLY Happened

As Marc's wonderful assistant, he was begging for me to not leave his side. Here's a summary of what happened:
Marc: Lucian, please don't leave. I need you to plug in my laptop, get me a napkin and look up the number for 411.
Lucian: But I have to get back to the city for miscellaneous, random, yet important reasons.
-Marc inches close to the top of the stairs-
Marc: I'll do it! I'll do it if you leave! I'll do it if you don't put the toothpaste on my toothbrush before you leave!
Lucian: No you won't!
-Inches closer-
Marc: Yes, I will! And dammit!! You need to turn the lights on!
Lucian: They're on.
-Marc flips them off... and inches closer to the edge of the stairs--
Marc: Now, they're not! Don't leave!!
Lucian: Yeah, right! I have to go!
-Marc slowly slid one foot over the edge and shifted his weight.... etc. He quickly reached the bottom of the stairs.
Lucian: Oh my god!!
Marc: Ow!! Now you CAN'T LEAVE!! HAHAHAHHAA!
Lucian: You crazy a**hole!
Marc: You're fired!! --- AFTER I've healed!
--And I took him to the ER instead of going back to the city. Oh, how dramatic he can be!--
All of Yours,
Lucian

I don't think rench rench rench is a very good sound to hear :0
Feel better soon! (although i'm sure the vicodin has already helped with that)

I felt "rentch, rentch, rentch" more than heard it, like I was hearing something from underwater
OW...there I was, face down on the driveway, my dog racing around me in a panic

This is much more worthy than being an OFF TOPIC THREAD. After all, look who we're discussing............
Sorry boss, maybe Scott will let you hire a few house boys to "help" you get to and from the beach out there in the Hamptons.
