Posted: 4/20/06 at 1:54pmAm I the only one who has actually started to like Logan, and hates the way that Rory has been treating him? I like Jess, too, but I think he's clearly out of the picture now.

Posted: 4/20/06 at 2:10pmHow can you start liking Logan after finding out he slept with all those girls while they were "broken up." If he really loved her he wouldn't have run off and slept with all those other women. I still hate Logan and am so glad Rory is treating him like crap

Posted: 4/20/06 at 2:55pmWhat I meant about Lorelie being insecure, is that she seems SO jealous of Luke's newly-found daughter, and isn't handling the situation well at all. You'd think she'd be happy for the guy, for chrissakes, but she seems to want to distance herself from it all - and especially after the way she reacted to Rory having met the kid, getting plastered and making that awful toast at lane's wedding - well, I just think she's on a downward spiral, thats all.

Whoa! Luke's the one that started the distance. He never even wanted to introduce April to her. She wanted to meet and get to know April. I feel like Luke is handling it the wrong way, not Lorelai. He is practically ignoring Lorelai now. I agree with you about the toast and getting drunk. That was probably a little immature. I think she's upset. But she's not the one that started the distance. She was just respecting Luke's wishes.

Posted: 4/20/06 at 3:23pmI agree with Ashley... Luke is the one forcing all the distance. Luke never even told April he had a fiancée til April met Rory.

Posted: 4/20/06 at 4:34pmFor whatever reason I believe that Logan really thought that they were broken up, and was upset and that that's why he slept with the other girls. I'm not saying that what he did was right (at all), but Rory's handling it all very immaturely. If she's not forgiving him, then fine. I just don't like this whole, I forgive and I'll live with you, but I won't talk to you, I'll take off for a weekend without telling you where I am or answering my phone, and then I'll take something away from you that you've worked hard on. It's not the first time that I've thought that she's handled relationship problems poorly, though.

It’s been officially announced that Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino aren’t returning next season. A year ago I might have been worried about the show, but this season has been so awful, maybe a new executive producer can get things back on track.
I hope so, anyway...my heretofore limitless love for Lauren Graham has been severely tested lately.

Why is that?
Oh wow I am so disappointed! I can't believe it! Only one really bad episode this season sticks out in my mind. Rory's 21st birthday. But I don't think it's been that bad. I can't believe Amy and Daniel are leaving their baby.
The CW offered the Gilmore showrunners a nearly $5 million contract for a two-year commitment, but the Palladinos, who preferred sticking around for one more season max, demurred, Variety reported.
Oh man! This means we may have Gilmore Girls for another season beyond 7? If CW wanted them to go for 2 more? I guess they will have to see how this season turns out. I heard Amy Sherman-Palladino mention once that she always knew the 2 words that the series was going to end with (she would not say what they were). I wonder if this will be upheld by the new writers. I just can't believe Amy and Daniel won't be behind it anymore. Hopefully the new guy will uphold the integrity of the show.

Ashley, I think it’s been a terrible season. The Rory/Logan storylines are tedious (they breakup, they get back together, they breakup, they get back together), the Rory/Lorelai separation went on for much too long, Lane’s marriage seemed to come out of nowhere (although I’m thrilled with the extra screen time for Mrs. Kim), and the whole April storyline just feels really forced and desperate.
As frustrating as this season has been, though, there’s always one scene (or at least one line) per episode that makes me glad I’m still watching (this past week it was Mrs. Kim’s horrifying/hysterical “what to expect on your wedding night” speech!).

I just meant that as wonderful as she is (and she’s probably my favorite actress on television right now), even she may not make the show worth watching if the quality of the show keeps declining.

Posted: 4/21/06 at 7:45pmI am really tired of the Lorelai/Luke dramas that keep happening. It took years to get them together and now all they do is have some sort of dramatic confrontation/unspoken anger every other week. The last few episodes have been fabulous in my opinion- very funny, but i'm worried we're starting to get back into soap-opera land.

Got it, sorry. And what was with that one Valentine's episode where Luke was acting like an idiot. I really hated him that episode.

So what did everyone think of the new episode?
This is one of the few times I actually liked something that the Gilmores did. I thought that the house thing was very sweet. Unfortunately, I missed last week. Stupid no tivo, so I was slightly confused about some things. But I'm so interested to see what happens next week.

Posted: 5/2/06 at 11:09pmOh good lord. Sookie and Jackson and the pot, Kirk and his "stubble" and Michel and his exercising behind the guests' backs had me in stitches. Really depressing episode though, I thought anyways.
"Ah the city. So many lights you can actually pretend one of them is shining on you."
CLIFF: "There was a cabaret and there was a master of ceremonies and there was a city called Berlin in a country called Germany - and it was the end of the world and I was dancing with Sally Bowles - and we were both fast asleep"

Posted: 5/3/06 at 9:58amIf Lorelie continues to downslide into such a needy and insecure gal, it is seriously gonna make me reconsider watching this show. What the hell is she so concerned about, anyway? If she'd just let Luke take his time with his daughter and have some space, everything would probably go smoothly. And Rory is really acting strange lately - I'm not sure I like the writing at all right now. (But I must give them credit for the scenes with Emily and Lorelie last night - some amazing zingers being thrown left and right).

Posted: 5/3/06 at 1:07pmI HATE the way the WB creates misleading promo spots. This week they showed Luke saying "You're pregnant????". Of course, I knew it couldn't be Lorelai or Rory - that it had to be his siter - but I bet a lot of people were sucked in.

I figured out Liz was pregnant from the promo, I saw the blonde hair.
I'm watching the episode yet again right now, and wondering the same thing I do every week, where is Lauren Graham's emmy?

where is Lauren Graham's emmy?
No freakin' kidding. If she were on any other major network she would have 6.

I enjoyed it, but seriously breaking up the same couples over and over again is not a great way to sustain a show...
Although, I guess the writers of Friends would disagree with me, hehe.
#246re: Gilmore Girls Love Thread
Posted: 5/3/06 at 3:03pmI completely agree with that. Am I the only one that HATES what the preview showed? Hopefully it will be yet again, a very very misleading preview

I'm really hoping that, for the first year ever, the emmy's will realize the brilliance of Lauren Graham, if not, well, I'm not going to go into what I might do.
On happier news, I'm going to LA over the summer and I may doing the WB tour, which includes stops at Central Perk and Stars Hollow!

I love Gilmore Girls! Sadly though I didn't get to see that much of this season because I usually had some type of rehearsal or activity or something in the way.
BTW ashley0139, I always thought your avatar or Lauren Graham was a funny picture. We're both Ashley's and both like GG, yeah, we're pretty cool. haha.

Posted: 5/6/06 at 9:33amYeah we are cool! Yay for Ashleys and Lauren Graham. I'm very excited for the season finale. Though I'm not sure anything can top my last year's screaming at the screen when it went to black.
