thanks.
I'm actually a little sad I found out that there is a secret, even though I know it was on the previews. I keep thinking about it though. I can't wait until Tuesday.

Posted: 11/10/05 at 9:59pmdon't be sad. i would have enjoyed not knowing, then i could think about this instead of paying attention during classes(it's not like we're actually doing anything i don't know)

Very intuitive Blu. I'm sure that's what it is. (not the loving sarcasm
)
EDIT: Oh and yes, I SO see Luke as a circus clown.

His eyes are a bit wierd in that one.
Again, Blu, very likely that he's pregnant. But maybe we should come up with some other ideas just in case.

Come on that was obviously the secret, and it is set up so that it could be wrong.
I just loved the ending, it was time. Nothing else matters.

Ah! Interesting, Penguin, I thought it was set up so that it couldn't be wrong. With the whole DNA thing. Amazing episode, though. I hope she's not actually his kid. It would change everything. I don't want everything to change. Maybe I'm just selfish.
I LOVED the ending. I am so happy. I was just about to cry. That was amazing. And I really liked that plane scene. That, "you didn't lose me either." was so great. Kelly rocked that scene.
And that fight scene at the dinner table was brilliant. And the making up scene. Very cool.
Great episode!

Posted: 11/15/05 at 11:31pmI was afraid that the teaser was bogus, and the "shocking secret form Luke's past that threatened his relationship with Lorelai" was the ugly bedroom furniture!

I was soooo happy with the ending last night. I knew they wouldn't let this go on much longer, especially with Thanksgiving and Christmas just around the corner...that would just be too much. That plane scene was so intense.
Good for Rory for takin' care of business (job, Yale, getting her act together) BEFORE calling Lorelai. It's about time.
I was pretty sure since last week that Luke's secret was going to be a kid. I knew the second that girl walked in and said "are you Luke?".
AND - (this has nothing to do with plot or storylines) I was so pleased to hear Lorelai's reference to "The Comeback".

Luke NEEDS to tell Lorelai about that daughter like ASAP since he made that big deal about always telling each other everything. That girl was adorable though. I would like to see her storyline develope a little bit and her form some relationship with Luke.
That furniture was SO ugly.
I was crying over the Emily/Plane thing.
It's crazy because last week I was like, "YEAH! Take that Emily! You had it coming" and now I'm all sad for her.
It was the best episode of the season so far.
Hey, remember the episode either last season or the one before when Jess went to California and his Dad's Wife had a young Daughter who would sit in the closet and read? The girl playing Luke's daughter looks JUST like her. I think it's the same girl??

couldn't have said it better, Theaterbaby!!!
and yes, Luke MUST tell Lorelai about daddy's little girl, but I agreed that last night when Rory came home was not the time. She had enough to deal with emotionally already. But aside from that...ASAP!!!! "NO SECRETS!!"

p.s. I loved when Suki's husband (after Luke and Lorelai yelled and left the dinner table) said "was it because I said my burgers were better?" and Suki's timing and delivery was perfect when she said "yes, yes it was".
I love how this show balances so well between the hard, serious moments and the comedy. It's so well written.

GREAT comment. Hilarious.
The one thing I didn't like about the episode: who finds out they have a kid and then just says, "Ok, see you around."? I mean, that was absolutely ridiculous. I'm assuming he just needed time to process or something, because no one in their right mind would do that.
And obviously he is going to tell her. That part was just a little bit of foreshadowing, don't you think?
#174re: Gilmore Girls Love Thread
Posted: 11/17/05 at 11:29amI don't think his "see you later" was as casual or breezy as you are assuming. My take on it was that Luke was in shock, needed to process this information. This girl made it pretty clear she didn't need a "daddy", and that she didn't necessarily want anything from him. My impression is that he needed to go home, let it sink it, talk to Lorelai and then make his next move. Imagine finding out you have a teenage daughter...pretty heavy stuff!!!
