I am also quite happy with where this show is going now.
I don't like the fact that Emily and Richard are seemingly seperated.
I am very happy with the Luke/Lorelei thing. For the longest time I didn't want them together, and then Boom! With one episode he makes me change my mind. Amazing. I can't wait for next week!
And I am soooo glad that Rory finally made Jess realize she really doesn't want to be with him. Previews are so sneaky. They're making it seem like Rory and Dean are going to sleep together even though he's married. I think they will be about to do it, and Lorelei walks in right on time.
I love that Laine's mom is giving her a chance again. :)

It makes me sad to think that next Tueaday is the last episode of the season. And Show Biz Moms and Dads Season finale is next week. Tuesdays are going to be really bad all summer. grrrr

I had forgotten about the Laine thing - her mother is such a complex character - that actress must be having a blast playing that part. When she said to Loreli "Double Entendre. I got it. I've lived in this country for over 20 years and I understand things." it killed me...(this was in reference to Loreli's comment about the "big knockers" Mrs. Laine was selling...)
I actually got a little emotional (big surprise) when Jess and Luke hugged near the end of the episode and started to understand each other. I guess we'll all just have to hang on that cliff to see what happens next season - ahhhh - a reason to live (LOL!)

Did anyone else get the Season 1 DVD set yet?
I did, but haven't had a chance to watch. Perhaps I'll do that tomorrow since it's my day off.
They have a segment called Gilmoregirlisms lol or something like that. Should be very interesting.

I loved the hug btw Luke and Jess. And the dance btw Luke and Lorelei...I have the show on tape...so I ended up watching that scene again. You just have to watch his face during it...it is so sweet.

As for Jess returning...I completely agree. And as for Dean, I hope they can work something out for Rory. At first, I was intrigued by the guy that her grandmother set her up with...then I saw the bar scene and I wanted to strangle the guy. (I hated guys like that in college! and now for that matter!)

On a personal note...I was hysterical about the horse being in the inn. Just standing there as if nothing was wrong. LOL! Made me think of 2 foals I had way back when...who decided to use the 87 inches of snow we had on the ground on our Wisconsin farm, to just walk over the fence and come stand in front of my window. I shot out of bed and opened the window and couldn't believe my eyes. My brother then opened the front door and in they came! Let me say that the amount of yelling was enough to cause an avalanche that winter!

Luke's sister is played by Kathleen Wilhoite and i remember seeing her in a movie called Campus Man, many years ago... i always thought she was a good actress... i just love how, no matter what role she is playing, dramatic or comedic, there is just a joyful look on her face... and, redhot, she is younger than us... she is also a songwriter, having written songs for a couple of films...
