STEPMOM is in and MADISON COUNTY is on the player and will be watched next.

SOPHIE'S CHOICE is one I just can't do. I watched it once and can never do it again being a Jew and all. I think I vomited after I saw it the first time.

Agree with you completely on SOPHIE, Matt. Some lessons I just don't need anymore - that one is just too much.

I don't cry in movie theaters. Or I didn't, until Stepmom. Sobbed. Mortified.

I send props to WiCkEd b/c Titanic is the first thing that popped into my head. Its really embarassing to mention the number of times I saw it in the theater (I am very loyal and passionate) but no matter how many times I see it, I cry for a solid 30 min block.

Perhaps I shouldnt have mentioned that... re: Gimmee a tearjerker. Quick.

The remake with Ralph Finnes and Julianne Moore.

I've told Matt-G this already, but my fave tearjerker is THE COLOR PURPLE. I was on the floor during the final credits the first time I saw it. What an amazing cast!

Beaches
Ghost

I'm not one to cry easily, but I was sobbing during both of those.

I think I just need to start making a list of my BWW recommendations.

I have been commanded to rent Monty Python.
Now Beaches.

Any more?

Suzanne: I never use catalogs. I'd rather go in the store and see all the salespeople groveling and sucking up to you. Julia: Pardon me, I never knew they were so solicitous at the K-Mart.

Millie, its ok, I haven't seen Beaches either (hangs head in shame). I have a whole bunch of movies I recommend to people all the time. I wouldn't know where to start telling you what to watch because I have no clue what you haven't seen, but Pulp Fiction is always a safe answer because you can watch it again and again.

In response to the actual thread I agree with Stepmom, even though it didn't make me cry. Another sad one is Stand By Me with River Phoenix. That is a great movie.

It takes a lot to make me cry, but one that always gets me is "Return of the King." The Grey Havens scene always destroys me. Actually, the whole last half-hour gets me.

Speaking of PROJECT X, I cried when Helen Hunt's career died in AS GOOD AS IT GETS.

Thank you, Matt. I am the only person I know who thought that was one of the worst movies EVER.

Oh, I loved that movie! I just meant that her career died after it. She's done crap since.
