God Is Punishing Japan For Atheism

A typical Christian Extremist is gloating over the tragedy. How Christ like. What happens if Branson or a Red State where there are a lot of evangelical Christians gets hit with a tragedy like what happened in Japan? Will that be God's answer to someone's prayers? I was wondering how long it would take before some nut would give a reason why something like this happened. Pat Robertson or Jerry Falwell blamed 911 on the gays so according to them someone is always responsible for a national disaster.

Wouldn't Hiroshima and Nagasaki really be considered that.

Atheism, greed, etc - if Mother Nature really cared about stuff like that the whole planet would already be caput. I just don't see the need to attach some sort of heavenly/mystical reason for a nation's suffering.

The outspoken governor of Tokyo, Shintaro Ishihara, told reporters that the disaster was 'punishment from heaven' because Japanese have become greedy.

a cursory glance at her other videos demonstrates that she has gotten tons of negative comments and doesn't give one whit. she is trolling and is quite good at it. like the folks from westboro, the best thing to do is ignore her.

I heard just yesterday about the Tea Party/Free Republic posters claiming the earthquake was payback for Pearl Harbor. Really? Do they think 'their' God works that slow? LOL! I was more disturbed by the posts on DU than I was this girl's video. Why does the Religious Right ALWAYS have to blame someone for everything? Don't these bible thumpers believe that sh*# happens? Does every bad thing have to be pay back? How do they explain the bad things that happen in their lives?

I haven't seen any of her other videos. My first impression from this one was that she was making fun of Christians. I mean, seriously, she thinks her god is good because he answered HER prayers to wake up athiests by killing them? Can the Japanese even be considered athiests? Non-Christian, sure, but atheists? Many of them are in fact deists.

If she really does believe what she's saying, then she truly is certifiable. It just seems so over the top to be real.

Thanks, Phyl. I'm on my mobile, so wasn't inclined to check for other videos right now. That's truly disturbing, that she's so gleeful over so many horrible deaths. I truly am incapable of understanding that kind of mentality.

as it is, japan is definitely secular, and many fundamentalists believe that secular means atheist.

My Grandpa was a survivor of the Pearl Harbor attacks...so this really rubs me the wrong way. He would be in FULL SUPPORT of aiding Japan. Pearl Harbor was an atrocity, but so was the bombing of Nagasaki and Hiroshima. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, The majority of people killed at PH were Navy/Army/Air Force...NOT civilians unlike the Nukes set off over there.
But none of that should even matter because THOSE WERE ACTS OF WAR! Japan needs help...and I dont find it shocking that the GOP want's to give 'em the middle finger.

A friend of mine who I sent this video to just emailed me and said this video has gone viral in a BIG WAY! It's on so many blogs and sites and even made the news on CNN today. I guess the girl's family is taking a lot of heat and everything from her address and phone number to where she goes to school has been revealed. She wanted to shock people and in that respect,she has succeeded. Not sure if you wanted all the fame but she got that as well. Her videos will follow her for the rest of her life.Every guy she has a date with,every job interview,and so on from here on out.The price of HATE comes at a heavy price.I hope her life is a living hell and that all is just the beginning.
