Posted: 12/16/07 at 3:32pmI never said SWEENEY isn't a musical. My point was just what StickToPriest was saying, that the Comedy/Musical v. Drama category should just be Comedy v. Drama and then musicals should go into whatever category they fit. For example, ENCHANTED and HAIRSPRAY in Comedy, and SWEENEY and LA VIE EN ROSE in Drama.

Posted: 12/16/07 at 4:22pmIt was made and released in France (and overseas) as LA MOME. It was retitled LA VIE EN ROSE for the US release. I believe that's the case.

I completely forgot about one of my favorite films of this year by far: WAITRESS.
What a complete snub for Kerri Russel and the whole film. What a shame!

I loved KNOCKED UP. I liked ACROSS THE UNIVERSE. But ENCHANTED was brilliant.
Enchanted was not brilliant. It was an extremley well made fun and cute movie that EVERYBODY will enjoy. Schindler's List was brilliant, Gone With The Wind was brilliant, Notes On A Scandal was brilliant, Enchanted was fun.
But, I saw Juno last night and I now understand all the praise. That movie is PERFECT.
