I want some good monologues that I can use for practicing and for future auditions. Monologues from plays would be the best, but monologues from books are fine too. Thanks!

Look at The Diary of Anne Frank (Play Version), You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown (Comedy Monologues), or just get a book of monologues at a Barnes and Nobles, Boarders, etc
My.Small.Apricot, I'm honestly not trying to be rude, but I heard its not good to do a monologue from a musical (YAGMCB)...but I'm asking. Is that true?

For a 13 year old its fine. for a college audition, not ok! For a broadway audition it isnt ok. But in Ella's case, it would be fine for her to do a monologue from that show
Ok thanks! Then you're right, that is a good suggestion for her. I'm 15 and I was going to do Ilse's monologue between Don't Do Sadness and Blue Wind (I did a little editing to make it solo) and my teacher decided last minute I shouldn't do it.

a basic rule for auditions- don't do anything thatis or has been on Broadway recently. Also, don't use monologue books because EVERYONE can get those, so many will probably be overdone. Try to find list of overdone monologues/songs so you will have an idea of what to use/not to use.
Full Gallop is a little known ome person play through diana vreelands eyes just talking about her life. Its veeeery low and dramatic and slow voice and lots of arm movements. it looks hard and the stuff looks innappropriate but LOOK HARDER AND PRACTICE and youll find the most amazing monologue youll ever do! i did one a couple months ago and i STILL keep getting asked to do it.
