I think the talent category should have a stipulation of being related to theatre or musical theatre. But what I look most forward to is the interview quotient.

Germany, we could do Miss Universe, if you want...but there is no talent in that one.

I think talent must be something other than the performing arts...luggage packing, toll painting, etc.

YES DD... I can participate in Mrs. World. Again, there is no talent.

And a sad child with fake wings will descend from the rafters to bestow the crown on the winner...oops, I mean...the loser.

I will tap dance to music from Aida that is SO LOUD that no taps can be heard.

I've always been good at "faking it."

If everyone sings Meadowlark, I will be the first finalist that spontaneously combusts onstage.

Only Patti should be allowed to sing that song anymore.

*exasperated sigh* FINE, you can have Meadowlark...but ONLY because A: I'm nice and B: I SUPPOSE there may be ONE OR TWO people out there who *might* think you have a slightly better voice than me, so you can take it.

I'll just have to settle for "And I'm Telling You..."

Oh, I meant that we, as a group, are far too talented to have it as a catetory...the term pageant indicates that there is no talent.

Now, the definition of talent...that is another matter. Therefore, keeping it out of the performing arts may make it more interesting.

And exotic dancing IS a performing art...ask Mazeppa.
