I was flipping through the channels, and came upon Grease 2. I haven't seen this movie in YEARS! First thing I thought while watching it was, "Wow, the music in this is still really good!" Second thing is, "Michelle Pfeiffer is HOT!" The movie in itself is really not that good, but like I said, the music is really good. My favorite line is, "Oh my God . . . we're going to die and I'm wearing my mother's underwear!"
"I ain't no one's trophy!"
"Mrs. McGee, my mom wants you to come over for some basghetti!"
"This bra is killing me!"
"You WISH."
"You have one more jump Mr. Cool Rider . . . Shakespeare . . .uh, uh . . . Harrington!"
"OH MY GOD I'M GOING TO DIE AND I'M WEARING MY MOTHER'S UNDERWEAR!!!"
My favorite thing to scream when someone slams on the brakes.
HAHAHA!
As campy as it is I adore this movie!!!!!!
It was on a few weeks ago and I loved it.
Can't find it on iTunes darn it.
How's about Lorna Luft?
I used to sing the Reproduction song even before I knew what sex was.
Oh and I always sing at bowling allies in the hope that a couple dancing nuns will show up.
When I was in botany, I answered a few questions on a test singing "Reproduction" in my head.
Oh I totally relate.
I get through a lot of classes with the help of musicals.
For example: The history of the Sabine Women in my Italian Culture class...Howard Keel was a huge help.
Threadjack over.
such a great movie. I have the soundtrack if anyone is interested. just PM me.
Its like so dumb at times...but it still is kind of a lot of fun...i feel like it was never given a fair chance.
"I'M A COOOOOOOOOOOOOL RIDER."
as campy as it was i have a deep affection for this film.
i met my best friend derek because of our love for this movie way back in 1982. we both went to the same high school.
we're still best friends to this day ~ 25 years!!
the other day we were instant messaging thru AIM (he still lives in NYC and I have since moved to Miami) and all we did for about 20 minutes was quote lines from this film back and forth...and we hadn't talked about it in years.
yeah, this movie will always be special to me!

The music is amazing but the movie is terrible. No wonder none of the creative team or priciple actors wanted anything to do with it. But, yeah, Michelle is pretty hot :).
Total guilty pleasure. And the Reproduction song is tops. So is the one in the bomb shelter.
Gotta love the scene where he's like an angel motorcycle guy...classic.

When this movie was on HBO in the early 80s my brother and I recorded it and watched it every single day one summer, acting out all the parts (him the boys and me the girls). We got to the point where we could even do the entire movie in our room without the actual movie playing.
I hadn't seen it for a long time and watched it on dvd not too long ago. It was scary how a good 95% of the dialogue came back to me verbatim.
This is one of those movies where I know intellectually that it's just terrible, but it reminds me of one of my happiest childhood memories, so it'll always be tops to me.

Let's do it for our country...the red white and the blue. Let's do it for our country...our country wants us to!
With Xanadu, the Grease revival, and a Phantom sequel upon us, could Grease 2 make it to stage. Or are all the motorcycles a hindrance?
The best thing about this movie for me is that it's one of Luft's rare film appearances. It was really cast very, very well.
Found it on DVD today for 8.99 ( Boyfriends not happy ) have been singing "Cool Rider" all day.
When this was first released in cinemas, must have seen it at least twice a week for 8 weeks...Was it wrong that i wanted to be a "Pink Lady"?
