yeap
Oh dear I havent been in here for some time. Shame, shame.
My mom hinted she might buy me tickets to see the DRS tour for Christmas though she was sad to hear they wrote a new opening number (the old one was her favorite song).
bump.
I saw Nightmare Before Christmas in the theaters today, the 3-d was underwhelming. The score is oddly reminiscent of The Three Penny Opera.
A pox, how delightful a pox!
Saw The Prestige just now.
IN-FRICKING-CREDIBLE!
plus, you get to see Hugh Jackman shirtless for a scene.
go see it.
Lets all take a moment and be thankful that we live in a world where Fraggle Rock is going to be a movie.
Amen.
Sprocket old boy what are you barking at? What do you see?
Dance your cares away...
*clap* *clap*
yay for David Yazbek! and for Sherie, Jason Gillman, and Richard Kind for singing in this!

OMG. Greg has sent me an e-mail with lots of pictures...wow, he thinks of me.
Hi all. Just stopping by for a second to say hi and wish you all the very best. I do miss the ol' DRS/Greg chat and I do hope we get a chance to see him on the screen again soon.
(Congrats on the note and pics Annie! You shouldn't be surprised that he thinks about you. You're a good fan for him to have!) By the way, did he have anything 'newsy' to say?
Dear Meatloaf,
Go away...
Love, Catherine
So tonight, this concert series called "Ambivalent Broadway" featured David Yazbek. He was there, performing a bit, and talking about writing his songs and funny stories and such. Performers included Sherie, Jason Gillman, Christian Anderson (he played Jerry in The Full Monty tour), John Ellison Conlee (original Dave in TFM) and Sean Altman and the GrooveBarbers (otherwise known as Rockapella!)
Will go into more details tomorrow but Sherie sang Here I Am (soo great to hear again), the Nothing is too wonderful jazz version, and a song David wrote called "Everything You Want." Richard did Chimp in a Suit. Meh. Jason took the part of Malcolm in TFM song "Big Ass Rock" (where Jerry and Dave sing he's got a friend b/c true friends will help you kill yourself--he did a great job of course)--and...Great Big Stuff--semi-staged. David told him to do it as Broadway as he could, so he put up jazz hands. Heh. But yeah, he did what he could, the 'pooring out my ass" part, the dance that followed, the robot dance, some random dancing during some musical parts when there wasn't the ensemble that was pretty funny...and yeah, to see it performed again even semi-choreographed...was so great.
So there were songs from TFM, DRS, David's own songs AND the songs of Rockapella. Sean Altman (for anyone that watched Carmen San Diego--he was the guy with the blonde dreads who had the first solo in the song--he's the only one I ever remembered) was close with David, and that's how he wrote the Carmen San Diego theme song that they sang each episode. And all of Rockapelle performed it! Hehehe. Childhood regression. Where in the world is...(deep voice) Carmen San Diego. ahh, that was awesome.
So yeah, like I said will go into more specifics tomorrow, all the songs and performers, funny moments, stories, what David talked about, etc.
We all clapped at the repition of Where in the world like the audience would as they came onto the country map...ahh, childhood memories.
yay for FINALLY getting to a new page.
