What an episode.
BTW - I liked the way Callie fixed Meredith's Dress after walking in on her and Der post whatever it was.
And then gave Dr. Der a nasty look.
I also like Callie and George together. And, the way Christine went to Burke at the end of the episode.
I feel like I need a ciggie after that two hours.
Well I went to the city last night and got home at midnight and told myself I would only watch a few minutes. Not the case, I stayed up till 2am to watch the whole episode and what an emotional rollercoaster. I loved Denny and Izzy together and it made me so upset, I cannot wait to see where September will lead all the characters.

I have to say that Christina really irked me this episode. She just made me mad. I loved the Callie and George stuff. That was cute. They really didn't leave us with AS MUCH of a cliffhanger as I thought they would. I mean, it wasn't even like last night's, which I really thought they would do. I'm happy about that, though. My question is, how can she go to Derek? Addison is there, right? And what are they going to do if she walks to him? Too weird. But I think I can truly say that Addison is my favorite character on the show right now.
okay here;s what I thaught of last night's episode;
- Denny should not have died..... everyone loves him. I literly screamed when he flat lined (for the final time).
- The Derek and Meredith thing was okay but all I could think about was denny and izzy.
- The Burke thing was great. can't wait to see how his hand heals
-the final clip where Finn and Derek are standing there and Meredith has to choose between them was really cheesy. They should have ended it with izzy george and alex walking down the stairs.
This was Izzy's night! She was amazing in this episode! The scene where she is just lying with dead denny is heart wrenching. And when she convinced denny to go through with this plan (in 17 seconds) was equally powerful.
It just killed me adn I am still upset about Denny. I woke up early this morning to see the cut scene from last night and it was really pointless, I should have slept in.
Again Ashley, we agree on so much abotu Grey's, you should live closer so I could have a tv buddy because my husband just doesn't get my obession.
Is it September yet??
Am I the only one that is kinda pissed that this won't be on Sunday nights anymore? And why Thursday at 9? I already have a show Thursday at 9!! And I absolutly HATE having to tape things. Before it was great, none of my TV shows were on at the same time, but no they had to move Grey's from it's amazing spot!

THURSDAY? No! This is perfect for Sunday night. That makes me so mad. Kel- that would be fun.
Wait! Is it moving opposite the Office? Nooooooooooo...

Thursday isn't too bad - at least there will be something good on TV on Thursdays! (ETA: no offense to those who watch The Office. As a huge fan of the BBC version, I just can't get into the new one, but I know a lot of people who love it! Maybe I should give it a chance.)
Back to Grey's...
Last night's episode was great. I missed some of the middle (trying to straddle Grey's and 24!) but will catch it on Tivo.
I was ticked when Denny died. I liked his character. Dr. Bailey was awesome last night. And, it was nice to see the softer side of Alex.

i loved when all of the young attractive interns were working on denny.
i also LOVE their resident. she's so cute
No it won't be up against The Office because The Office change to 830. It will be up against the new Sorkin show
They are moving it for sure? I had heard a few days ago they were deciding between DH and Grey's.
I don't like the idea of them moving. I like having a good Sunday night show to start off my week!
And opposite Sorkin's new show? Well, I've now officially decided my new apt will have a DVR.

I still don't like Alex, I REALLY hope Izzie doesn't get together with him. I almost wish that someone else would have comforted her...
Isn't CSI: Las Vegas Thrusday at 9PM? That seems like a show they'd try to compete against.
Yeah, I hope that Alex doesn't try to do the rebound thing. As crappy as he was towards Denny I doubt Izzie will fall for it. Let's hope not.
Is it bad that I came out of this entire episode only having respect for Bailey?
Meredith annoys the crap out of me. When she was dancing with Finn and he's talking about making plans, I was yelling at the TV "Run away, run away!" And then the whole "You don't get to call me a whore". Umm...but have you taken a good look at yourself lately?
Callie was needy and ridiculous and looked like a linebacker in that strappy dress. And she is so pretty, why the hell did they do that to her?
I love George, but that new haircut has to go. He looks like he should be in a tux and tap shoes in a 30's musical. And he really needs to speak up more often.
And, I'm sorry, but I saw the whole Denny thing coming a mile away. I was IMing with a friend while watching the show and I kept writing..."Everything's too perfect, he's going to die".
I did love Alex's little speech to Izzy, but you know in the next episode he's just going to turn around and do something that makes you think "Geez, what an ass!"
I also loved how all the things going on in the interns lives made it impossible for the Chief to get any information out of them. That was a great sequence.
And I wouldn't worry...Izzy's not going anywhere. Don't you watch ER? Neela quit, worked at the convience store for 3 episodes, and then came back to work. I predict a similar storyline! LOL!
I think that Izzie is hurt and terrified at what she did, she is also a little dismayed that she risked everything and it worked so well and then a clot from his chest inscion (sp?) killed him with a stroke, not a heart attack like what anyone would have suspected. She needs a break, but being a doctor is too much a part of her. She'll be back.

Oof I'm so glad somebody thought the extra scene wasn't worth getting up for, cuz I set a whole bunch of alarms and fecking missed it anyway cuz the power blinked out during the night. And whoever said Callie looked like a linebacker in the dress was SPOT ON!!
That shot of Izzie lying next to Denny was beautiful.

Yeah, it was pointless, it only pointed out what we already knew- there was more attachment to Doc than him being a good dog; it was about the possible death of any sort of relationship between Der/Mer. Pointless and I didn't have class this morning...I'm a bit unhappy with that scene. I really needed a day to sleep in and now that day is gone...grr...oh well I did get to see Chris O'Donnell again which is always nice.
I am furious. I was saw that the show was to be on from 9:00 to 11:00. Then with the president's speech ending at 8:20, I started the tape. I was not available. I thought the show was 8:20 to 10:20 and that is all I taped. I did not know they had a preview show before. It was not in my t.v. guide. At work this morning, I found out the show ran to 11:00. Does anyone have a VCR tape of this show that I can borrow. I am really upset. Hearing about the show and seeing it for yourself are two different things. Denny was only a visitor in the show. You knew he was not going to last. That actor is also the father on Supernatural, Thursday nights. He is cute.
I wish I had taped it. There were so many quotable moments in that episode.
Like "Where are my suck-ups?"
And "Ok, I was really doing my best imitation of being a good girlfriend and you screwed it up with medicine." or something like that...
Classic...
I... vowed before the episode started that I would never watch again if Denny died... and I might have to follow through with that. Because, even though I knew eventually it would happen, he was my favorite character on the show other than Christina. I adored him and I just wanted to believe that he and Izzie could be happy. She threw away everything... couldn't she have come out of the show with just one thing?
The irony of this episode killed me...
And Meredith and Derek? Die in a car crash... No, that's wrong of me to say. But I like them much more seperate than together. I'm just pissed he cheated on his wife. After all of that crap he gave her... and he does the same thing?
The main reason I don't want mcdreamy and meredith together is because I love Addison so much and when you get rid of the marriage... there's no more Addison.
I can't look at any of the characters in the same way after last night... that really shook me up.
So, something I read on tvguide.com... It seems that Mark Sloane is coming back next season and Kate Walsh isn't going to be a regular cast member. Her contract only goes up to the last episode that Mark is on... they're leaving at the same time? Coincidence?
She leaves and I will seriously stop watching... even though I have already threatened that... I really will... seriously.

Too bad for the guy w/ young children who was supposed to get the heart when Denny ended up dying anyway.
Meredith & Derek...It's getting hot in here...

I may also have to stop watching if they stop having Addison as a regular. She is my favorite character. I can't handle it without Addison.

I loved Alex comforting Izzie. I can't stand his character, but at least in this moment he came through for her.
I also enjoyed the sequence of the interns getting personal with the chief instead of naming Izzie.
Meredith choosing between the guys at the end was just too much of a physical cliche. You'd half expect them to each grab one of her arms and start pulling. It was that cheesy.
I couldn't believe Denny died. I thought that you were supposed to be scared that he wouldn't get the heart or survive the transplant. Once he came through that okay, it never occurred to me that he would just all of a sudden die. He was too great of a character. I loved his smile while he was telling Izzie "I choose you"
I really enjoyed Bailey this episode. I like her more and more each show.
Christina dissapointed me in the OR but I understand a bit. I probably would've froze, too. I'm glad she went back to him at the end of the episode.
