Barbra you are TOO Old to pay Mama Rose? I hate to tell you darling but it's true. You in your 70's and supposed to have a 20 something at most. Yes, I would definitely choose you as the director. You obviously have the passion and the musicality to understand what is the undisputed "American Musical". I mean go with Patti who was the definitive but she is approaching a non-age appropriate. I still say Barbra direct Patti. Give up the vanity, girl, Ms. Streisand.

I'd also be worried what she would do to the music. Sondheim is an easy touch with her, so I would see Rose also singing "Losing My Mind" "Not While I'm Around" and "Send In The Clowns."
