Yenta - I agree with you. Your personal sexual preference shouldn't be an issue. But unfortunatly we live in a world (or country) where it still is. But I imagine no one ever thought the Berlin wall would come down. We still have a long way to go in this world, but I'm hopeful that it will happen one day, hopefully in my lifetime. Women can vote, we are no longer segregated. People probably never thought those things would happen. Yet they have, and no one thinks twice about them anymore. Hopefully people will look back one day and be proud to live in a country where everyone, regardless of race, creed, or sexuality, are excepted.
A few years back, a synagogue in my area hired a rabbi who was gay. There were headlines all over the place that said " Gay Rabbi Hired" A girl of about 10 wrote the local paper and asked why no one ever had a headline that read " Straight Rabbi Hired" before. Out of the mouths of babes.......

I was just doing some thinking about this subject and I have decided that I will pray for the day when no one has to come out of the closet about anything. People should just be respected for the people they are. Closets are only good for one thing.............STORAGE
