HAPPY ENDINGS

OK, so we've established that not really anybody wants to see Bewitched this weekend, and only Lohan devotees will be at Herbie. So who's going to be checking out Don Roos' new ensemble drama with the most interesting cast in ages (Maggie Gyllenhaal, Bobby Cannavale, Lisa Kudrow, Jesse Bradford)?
Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

re: HAPPY ENDINGS

I am definitely checking this movie out. Roos is an excellent writer-director (The Opposite of Sex is one of the funniest movies of the past 20 years; I could still put it on today after countless viewings and laugh my ass off) and the cast is smashing. I have a giant crush on Maggie Gyllenhaal to boot.

re: HAPPY ENDINGS

Not only is Ms Gyllenhaal utterly beautiful, but she's insanely talented to boot. I saw her in Homebody/Kabul and was knocked out by her performance. Her boyfriend is hot and talented too.

re: HAPPY ENDINGS

Her performance is Homebody/Kabul was incredible; I was floored by it. She has been wonderful in Secretary (robbed of an Oscar nomination, if you ask me), Criminal, Cecil B. Demented, etc. I'm looking forward to this and her other forthcoming movie, The Great New Wonderful.

And yes, their children are going to be gorgeous.

After loving THE OPPOSITE OF SEX, I definitely want to see HAPPY ENDINGS. However, this weekend, I'm going to be seeing MARCH OF THE PENGUINS - probably multiple times.

popculture boy, I AM seeing Bewitched.........if only for the people in it

I will more than likely see Bewitched as well, if only for Nicole Kidman.

My pathological hatred for Will Ferrell will keep me well away from Bewitched. But I think it opens in the UK after I've left and if it bombs it may not be in US cinemas by the time I arrive anyway.

Ah, the joys of living in crappy multiplex land. I've already seen Batman Begins, so what's left? The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl, Madagascar, Herbie: Fully Loaded, and Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Dear lord. It's unfortunate the reviews of Bewitched aren't living up to the cute trailer, but I'll probably end up seeing it anyway.

I have a feeling The Aristocrats will be just a touch more my speed.

I NEVER go into The Aristocats. Probably cause I'm allergic.

Amanda Plummer is an incredible acotr, but she isn't very attractive. I usually go for women with idiosyncratic features, but I never got into her. Go figure.

What's the movie about?
#24

happy endings

An ensemble cast telling 10 stories with intertwining characters. One story is about a father and son who are dating the same woman . Another features a woman who long ago gave her baby up for adoption but is now being blackmailed by a documentary filmmaker who claims to know the now-grown child's whereabouts.
