I saw Happy Endings on Monday afternoon and was very dissapointing. As a long-standing fan of Don Roos, I expected much more. Although Lisa Kudrow, Tom Arnold, and especially Maggie Gyllenhaal turn in terrific performances (and the supporting cast is uniformly fine), the movie is way too long (2hrs, 30mins) and utterly boring. There seem to be a hundred polt points, but hardly any real plot.

Skip this and see Ingmar Bergman's haunting new film Saraband or the beautiful March of the Penguins.

I want to see this. Great cast.

I agree with you. If Far From Heaven came out any other year, Gyllenhaal would have been my choice for Best Actress. As it is, she should have won the Golden Globe.

Finally saw this. I enjoyed it, but I think the script was a lil muddled. Great performances. And the skin factor had me in heat--especially Mr. Bradford.

I'm 12 steps ahead of you there, Pinguin. Loved Jason Ritter since I saw him in LaBute's The Distance From Here in London. He's so talented and oh so very pretty. And he was very polite to me when I comiserated with him on the cancellation of Joan of Arcadia.

Ritter is a terrific young actor. His performance in THIRD is a triumph.

Extra Kudos to Maggie here just for having to be naked with Tom Arnold and being able to look like she enjoyed it.
