They cancelled Life on Mars within the first season and they went batsh*t crazy trying to wrap it up. It was way too rushed, but I think they were trying to do right by their fans. I really liked that show.
I really liked LIFE ON MARS, so it wasn't a big shocker when they cancelled it. They always cancel shows I get into. I was just reading yesterday how FLASH FORWARD probably wouldn't get picked up for another season which figures since I really like that one, too.
The British version of "Life On Mars" (and it's sequel series "Ashes to Ashes") are purely brilliant. The American version, while not bad, couldn't hold a candle.

Flashfoward was officially canceled a few days ago... which sucks because I want to know how it ends.. but I'm not surprised because the writing was just poor... it could have been a great show but they just had no direction
as for Life on Mars... i enjoyed it... and i was glad they at least got to create a series finale
I think that certain shows (specifically serialized shows but NOT soap opera shows like 90210ish shows) in the US need to follow the UK mold of how tv shows are created... just already create an end date from the beginning so you know how exactly you want it to play out

Tch, the UK Life on Mars was far superior to the U.S. version. (Which I really wanted to love, but man. It was so mediocre.) The UK version also had a hell of a finale.
If they do decide to film some kind of finale for Heroes, I hope that for the sake of the suffering of its few remaining fans it's a good one.
I don't watch Heroes, but I saw this and thought you guys would want to see it too:
"Encouraging news (somewhat) for disappointed fans of the canceled Law & Order and Heroes: NBC will talk to the creators about producing either a two-hour movie or some kind of event to give the shows closure next season"

I had no idea Heroes was still running. I thought it was canceled a long time ago.
I just saw a report that said they were talking about either a two or four hour "finale" next season.
