it's an arts and sciences school
and yea, HUGE relief that i'll actually know where i'll be everyday!
when i had the interview at the dept of ed, it was difficult. i took time off teaching (i had a long term placement at this point) to go down to the city... the interview was 45 min and he didn't make me feel adequate at all. he pretty much told me "thanks for coming, now go talk to principals and find a job for yourself... there are career fairs next week on the boroughs, go to those." too bad i travelled across the state... you'd think they'd take that into account. OBVIOUSLY NOT! so that's why i'm REALLY happy to be where i am, where teachers and administrators care for the students as well as those coming in to teach
