Yes, DollyPop. The lamb shank bone minus the meat is part of the synbolic foods that go one the Seder plate. It represents the Pashcal lamb that was sacrificed. It also is symbolic of the lamb's blood that was painted on the doorposts so that the angel of death would not "pass over" the homes of the Hebrews and kill the first born male. The other foods on the Seder plate include greens [fruit of the earth] horseradish [bitterness the slaves experienced] charoset { apples, nuts, wines mixed together to represent the mortar the bricks the slaves made] salt water[ tears that were shed] and a roasted or boiled egg to symbolize life.

We always had lamb on Easter Sunday in my house, but my husband's family is all about the ham.

I prefer lamb, myself.

Ham (with orange/pinapple/brown sugar glaze)

but I love roast lamb, too.

Where are we going, and why am I in this handbasket?

Brisket.

Ham - nope, never like it even as a kid. It it is not the "other white meat."

Lamb - tastes pre-chewed to me!

I guess there is a nice Jewish girl hiding in there after all.

But, you all enjoy Sunday Night, and eat whatever makes you happy!

I've always prefered Ham. It sems better to be eating a pig, rather than a sweet innocent lamb.

I had some very good brisket Wednesday night at a Seder. Not quite as good as mother's though.

Possum.

Rat stew is good, too.
