The queen is here, just coming to right now, after a very long night. I think my tiara is still in storage, but I'm wearing it in spirit.

Thank you all for the kind wishes. It's not every day a boy turns 26 for the second time.

PJ, you are correct that I'm not a day person. I was awoken by my houseguests this morning, who made me watch the video of a production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat they just did this summer. I kid you not.
Thanks for the picture of Lenya. I kept threatening to do a birthday rendition of "Pirate Jenny" for my party guests last night, but alas, it never materialized.

Namo, I loved that picture so much I had to hijack it for my avatar.

Jrb, that cake brings back fond memories of last year's birthday (where, strangely enough, I was older than I am this year). My recent move prevented me from pulling together a guerilla musical, but last year's Galinda was here last night and we did an impromptu rendition of "Heavy" from Dreamgirls that was very well-received (by the one person who saw it, that is).

I don't think I can come up with something clever to say to everyone who posted in this thread, but rest assured that I deeply appreciate all of you who have taken the time to wish me a happy birthday.

Thank Sondheim that Chicago is an hour behind the East Coast. I just made it to the Kringasfest in time.

I hope your day has been splendid and the coming year brings you as much joy as you want...no more, no less. You should be in charge, baby!

It gives me such pleasure to know that you share the birthday of the great F. Scott Fitzgerald (who drank himself to death by the time he was 44, so take heed)...as well as my two cats, Lolita and Quilty, who are 15 today (no doubt because they gave up boozin' when they were stil being litter-trained.)

You're one of my favorite BWWers, but I just don't tell you often enough.

And you know, except for that stupid, trivial, hooch-induced disagreement we had ages ago about a plot point in Wicked, we have alwyas seen eye-to-eye. (You have my sympathy.)

PJ, the date was fine. I probably shouldn't get into it, though, as he'd fall in category of "unconventionally sexy" and people on this board can't seem to handle that.
