The lotto just became legal? I guess you probably don't have scratch-off games then - I'll never forget how one of my best friends immediately went out and bought about a dozen as soon as he was officially 18.

Haha! I'm not sure he discriminates with regards to age anyway (if we're thinking about the same person, that is).

Skittles, so many of my friends are getting piercings and tattoos. I feel as if I'm missing out on some cultural ritual.

Heh, it really is almost a cultural ritual. Other countries put discs in their lips and bands around their necks, we get lower back tattoos. :-P

I'm a dork- I counted the candles on the cake; there are 21. Ya know, 3 for good luck!

21 is a big birthday too - perhaps the number of candles has some kind of hidden meaning?
