Yes Dottie, I went to Whole Paycheck today. I didn't see any couples, but I did purchase organic chocolate toaster pastries, so something good did come of it. The cashier wished me a happy v-day, while a bitchy chick behind me barked "ExCUSE me!!" as I had the nerve to spend three seconds placing bags into the little basket thingie.
As I was leaving and as I passed the register where bitchy chick was, I took the box of valentine cookies she'd gotten from the bakery out of her cart as she sniped at the cashier ("I don't know how much that is--isn't that your job to know that??") and placed it in the "return groceries" pile near the customer services desk.
Best v-day ever.

NYgrl23, that was me bitching at the cashier!! LOL
Only kidding, but I definitely would have done the same thing with the Valentine's cookies.

Glad y'all don't think I'm a jerk for doing that. :) Maybe we all need a little "revenge" now and then. Nothing illegal, just, you know, 3rd-gradish.

Indeed. There's nothing wrong with it.
A few months ago at the Laundromat--where dryers always seem to be in short supply--there was a woman who had commandeered about four dryers, putting only about seven or eight pieces of clothing in each one. One load had long since finished about 15 minutes earlier, and there were no dryers left. As I approached it, she barked "I'm still using that," leaving her dry clothes in it for the load she had washing, still a good 20 minutes away from being finished.
When she wasn't looking, I tossed the gum I was chewing into one of her drying loads. If I was really mean, I would have tossed in a candy bar, but that was just my warning shot.

Ah the days of the doing to the laundramat. Thank goodness I have my own washer and dryer now.
Good for you Calvin. At least I got a laugh out of your story (then again, why am I not surprised!).

Whoa, Calvin! Excellently done. People who hog machines at the laundromat only bring things like that on themselves.
If the 'mat has a manager, he or she can deal with dryer situations like that. Can you ask him or her to help you out? The squatters can't do anything about it if the manager tells them that their turn is up.

I'm too passive aggressive to actually get a manager involved!
I don't know why I don't just pay for the laundry service. At only 65 cents a pound, when you factor in the cost of machines, detergent, dry sheets, time and having to deal with other people in the place, it's more than worth it.
