I thank and honor ALL who have served.

I send my thanks and prayers to all who are currently serving.
(for those of you who are my FB friends, I have posted an album of photos taken by the son of a dear friend who is currently serving in Afghanistan. I thank him and his family).

I thank my Dad for his service.

My Dad was also in WWII, damn we are old to have WWII fathers!

I thank ALL my family members and friends who have served, but I honor the memory of my Uncle Carl, who was a loving husband, doting father, and father-figure to my own Dad. I wish I had met him, but he died before I was born.

romantico, I LOVE your link! It is so adorable and I'm pretty sure it'll lift up anybody's bad day. I think it deserves a thread of it's own. Just my opinion though.
