Her sister actually only died in November 2014, so the vultures have been quick to swoop if that is indeed the case. I'm hopeful it's not.

That's a much better researched article. But it's a myth that Miss Alice, frail, deaf and in her 90s until her death at age 103, was still able to be "protective" of Lee. It was Miss Alice's "protection" that allowed the attempt on the part of the agent to steal the Mockingbird copyright.

I think it is obvious that she is being better taken care of now than she was when Miss Alice was alive and frail and unable to continue to "protect" her.

Apparently she's “alive and kicking and happy as hell”, so hurrah for that. Seems we'll be able to read the book without any qualms whatsoever.

The movie is one of my favorites. It's a perfect film. Great script, great cinematography, top notch acting.

I wouldn't change a thing about TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD.

TKAM is my favorite book, so I am obviously excited about this.

I really hope she wasn't taken advantage of, but it won't keep me from wanted to read the book.
