And when is the next movie being released?

I don't remember.

All I know is I'm in London in 3 weeks and I'm DYING to go on a HP tour!

What does the tour involve? King's Cross Station? What else can they show you?

re: Harry Potter

the new book comes out on July 16th. The only reason I know that is because its my birthday. I used to enjoy reading the Harry Potter books, but I feel with all the hype about the movies and the books, I have lost interest in it! I will still read the new one, but I know I won't wait up till 12:00 AM when Barnes and Nobles puts them out...I have always thought that was funny when kids did that. I mean really, are they gonna go home at read the damn thing till 5 in the morning?? Oh well, to each his own....

Kids? *shifty eyes*

Your avatar is...it probably won't last for long, but props for posting it. My mouth has gone dry.

Ellie, not sure yet. A few years ago TourismBritain sent me a pamphlet with a map of locations used in the movie and "inspired" by the books. I'd rather just find a good half-day tour to go on though. King's Cross isn't too hard to go on my own (I'm sure the conductors get so annoyed at people taking a picture of air three-quarters between platforms nine and ten) but I don't know about the rest.

*sinks down in chair* Well... yeah!

I went to one of the midnight parties for Order of the Phoenix. For once in my life I knew what it was like to be a tall person.

re: Harry Potter

I didn't mean anything bad about it guys! I am sooo sorry! I didn't mean it in a bad way! I have my things I am totally fanatic about that other people consider crazy. I shouldn't have said that! Sorry

Thanks, Type_A_Tiff for the comment on my icon! I enjoy looking at it too!:)

re: Harry Potter

I've never gone to a midnight receiving party for the book, but I buy the new one on Sunday morning (I will probably preorder this year) and finish it by that night or the next day. Yes, staying up all night to read it too.

re: Harry Potter

Don't worry about it, lol. No offense taken.

I can't wait to see what's going to happen with Snape.

re: Harry Potter

No offense taken, b88. And if there was, it would dissipate the longer I gaze at your avatar.

MatureDignity, my theory is SNAPE is the half-blood prince! (Oooh...)

Any predictions on who croaks in this one? I hope it's not Hagrid, Dumbledore or Lupin, but I think it could be any one of those.

re: Harry Potter

someone dies in this one?
#14

re: Harry Potter

Yup. Apparently it's confirmed.

re: Harry Potter

Is the titular prince an existing character, or is he being introduced in this book? If he's already been in it, who is he??

re: Harry Potter

She (Rowling) has said that as the war intensifies, there will be more deaths.

re: Harry Potter

Ooh, I would love that, Tiff! Is he one of your favorite characters?

My strongest feeling is that it's Hagrid. But it could easily be Dumbledore-- he's gotta go sometime!
#18

re: Harry Potter

I don't think it's been confirmed, Ellie, but my hunch is it's an existing character.

MatureDignity, who? Snape? He's the character I love to hate. (And I adore how Rickman portrays him!) I think it'll be Dumbledore before Hagrid - my impression is the seventh book is going to be very dark, bleak and violent, so Rowling would want to kill Dumbledore off in this one to set the tone for the next one, where all hell pretty much breaks loose.

re: Harry Potter

ooh, that's interesting!!!!
#20

re: Harry Potter

Yeah, Snape. I feel the same way about him. Love Neville, Hermione, and Lupin.

I thought she might kill Dumbledore at a crucial moment in the 7th book. Killing him in HBP and leaving Harry alone for all of the seventh book would be really cruel... which leads me to think that's what she'll do, haha!

I wonder if the seventh book is going to weight about eight pounds.

re: Harry Potter

Ooh, good theory, Tiff! Is it too far away to speculate how she's eventually going to wrap things up? Is a reunion with his parents too corny to contemplate? I think once Voldemort's gone, all his evil will be undone, and all his victims will magically spring forth with renewed life.

You heard it here first! Ellie3! Remember the name!
#22

re: Harry Potter

She said she's already written the last chapter, but I dont' think any one really has a good idea. I doubt he'll reunion with his parents unless he dies. I also don't think the victims will magically spring back to life, but I think he'll probably try once or twice, have it fail miserable, and become really, really depressed. (Because that was the best part of the 5th book - his angst )

Man, all of that screaming drove me crazy after a while. Not that it wasn't understandable, but sheesh.

re: Harry Potter

I hope the death in this one is a bit more exciting than in the last one. Uh-oh, he's falling through a portal! *yawn*

re: Harry Potter

I like ellie's theory, but don't think it is going to happen. Then again, I don't have any speculation of my own about who will die and how it's going to end up...
