re: Harry Potter

I think this is the closest I have come to literally spraying soda onto my computer screen! *snicker* Assface McPoon...heehee...

I think the cattle prod would have been more enjoyable than Jersey Girl, although that girl is ADORABLE and a dead ringer for J.Lo-but better.

You ARE the corporation. You're the figurehead. And mascot.

re: Harry Potter

But Jersey Girl isn't Sweeney Todd, it's Kevin Smith's mutilation of Sweeney Todd. An affectionate mutilation, I'm sure, but still.

Seriously, if you intend to listen to Sondheim start with something relatively accessible- Company if you can deal with the very 70s orchestrations, or maybe Into the Woods. A Little Night Music, Follies, and Sweeney Todd are his masterworks, so those are good, too.

And the comments on that entry are brilliant, too. Especially when they talk about bad doctor names. My stomach hurts from laughing.

Hello?! I've already stated that 'You Could Drive A Person Crazy' is the place to start! It'll lull her into a false sense of melodic security. re: Harry Potter

re: Harry Potter

Right. Then we can give her "Not A Day Goes By" and "Losing My Mind" to make her think he's an angsty ballad writer. Or better yet, "Unworthy of Your Love," his one and only soft rock number.

re: Harry Potter

The Liza Minnelli version of 'Losing My Mind' - to make her think he uses synthesizers!

Maybe I should give that Schwartz guy another shot...

Perfect! A way to lure her from her ALW shell...only to viciously strike with "Simple" just when she's least expecting it.

*plugs ears and closes eyes* Loathing...unadulterated loathing...for your face-your voice-your clothing...I loath it all. What is this feeling?

re: Harry Potter

You want a good loathing song? Try "My Husband the Pig." Or "Could I Leave You?" Sondheim does the scorned woman really, really well.

re: Harry Potter

Or you could stick with la Cheno, 'sup to you.

re: Harry Potter

"My Husband The Pig" sounds compelling. Do describe!

*sucks on helium and squeaks* Cheno is my idol!

re: Harry Potter

I actually like Chenoweth. She does the scorned woman really well in "If You Hadn't But You Did."

It's the other witch I can't take.

I don't mind Cheno either! I love her on the West Wing, and her voice is, well, unique.

*hiss* Hey, I've declared my feelings on the subject before. I'm still here.

And yes, that was a Sondheim reference. Which you won't understand until you listen to Follies. *poke*
