Which relationships do you *support*.
I'm a Ron/Hermione shipper and a Neville/Luna shipper. And Snape and Lucius. Whole other story...
Well, I am also a Neville/Luna shipper.
And a Peeves/Crookshanks shipper.
Ok.
Ron/Hermione I guess.
I think Sirius/Lupin would be cool, but I don't think it is 'real' at all.
Harry/Ginny (I am iffy on that, but I like what I saw.)
I've been Ron/Hermione from the beginning. I'm so excited about finally seeing something happen there in book 7! I'm also a Harry/Ginny and like the idea of Luna/Neville, it's cute.
I am also a Tonks/Charlie shipper, or at least I was.
When they first introduced Luna, I was Harry/Luna.
I like Luna/Neville.
I really hope they don't all pair off though. They don't need to all find "life partners"
Yes, and some of them might die. Though it would be interesting, I highly doubt that Rowling would include any same-sex relationships in her books.
I had a brief moment of Harry/Luna at the end of OotP, but I've figured it must be Harry/Ginny for a while.
She has said she wouldn't, just because she does not want them to be turned into "issue books" I think you can assume (if they live) that Dean and Seamus wind up together though.
And Crabbe and Goyle.
Eh...I'm going to bed.
Goodnight My fellow Harry Potter lovers!
Good morning!
I'm iffy on Harry and Ginny too. I was a Ginny and Neville shipper until HP6, with stuff we can't talk about yet. But you know what I'm getting at. Neville and Luna love!
Well, yes.
They did go to the Yule Ball together.
(I actually meant why I turned into a Neville/Luna shipper, but that would be in some much later chapters.)
So did Penguin manage to get your top off yesterday?
Lol. Nope. He was this close though!
I didn't really catch J.K.'s hints about Ron and Hermione until this book. I assumed that Hermione would end up with one of them, but damned if I knew which one.
What the crap?
I did no such thing!
I love Neville/Luna and Neville/Ginny.
I think I just like the idea of Neville getting some play.
I know you didn't. I'm kidding.
Yes, I think Neville deserves some lovin'. He's been such a loyal friend to Harry.
Hehe I love these.
20 Ways to Annoy/Scare Harry Potter
If nothing else, it'll get you on his bad side!
By Lauren
This list may contain spoilers!

21. Ask him to tell Cedric you said hello.
20. Follow him around and say "Voldemort is your uncle!" in a loud voice right next to his ear.
19. Ask him if the "anvil-sized hints" ever hit him on the head, which is really what caused the scar.
18. "So... first you were the Boy Who Lived.. then you were a nutcase... now you're The Chosen One. Why don't they just add it together so that you're the "Chosen Nutcase Who Lived?"
17. Offer him stolen silver from Sirius Black's house.
16. Make sure you tell him you got it from Mundungus Fletcher.
15. Tell him that he should stop pretending to be Harry Potter and to wipe the fake scar off his head.
14. Follow him around wearing shirts that say, "I'M WITH THE CHOSEN ONE!"
13. Buy him one that says, "THEY'RE WITH THE CHOSEN ONE!" and get really offended when he doesn't wear it. Be sure to tell him you made it yourself.
12. Ask if he knows whether Voldemort had any scars and if so, where are they?
11. Everytime you see him, say "Do you like Luna Lovegood?" in a sing-song voice.
10. Ask him if thestrals have pretty eyes.
9. Re-enact his triumph over the dragon in the first task. Then ask if you can do it again on his Firebolt.
8. If he asks you a question, sing the answer in at least three different styles of music and then ask if he likes to sing.
7. Buy him concealer and tell him to put it over his scar so Voldemort won't recognize him.
6. Tell him Moaning Myrtle has fallen in love with him and make sure he goes to ask her about it.
5. Whenever it rains, use his back as a piano and start singing, "Remember When it Rained" in a loud and terrible way.
4. If he does or says something unusual, say, "Don't worry. We'll call St. Mungo's and get you the help that you so desperately need."
3. Ask if Muggles can see his scar.
2. Run up to him giggling and say, "Romilda Vane says you have a tattoo on your chest. Can I see it?"
1. Tell him that if he dies defeating the Dark Lord, you want his broomstick.
compliments of mugglenet.
Ha! Love it.
As for me, I'm a staunch Ron/Hermione and Harry/Ginny supporter. I hate to say I'm a shipper, because of the Great Shipper War of 2005...
Lol. That's true.

Wow! I had company all weekend, just got on-line to get caught up and see if the new chapter was posted, and had 5 new pages to read through! So, jumping back into conversation, here goes:
In regards to the whole looking young thing, I'm 24, a little on the short and slim side, with sort of boyish figures (aka flat chested), but I think it has more to do with the face. I've been carded buying a lotto ticket, and even trying to check my e-mail at a library while on vacation! I get asked all the time what school I go to, and when I say I'm done with school, they say, "why aren't you going to college, then?"
I don't really think of myself as a shipper, because I'd like to be OK with however things turn out, but I like Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione, and Neville/Luna.
To the person asking about the theory from Chapter 5--I don't remember who that was, but I have a theory regarding the secret keeper, so PM me if you want.
Chapter 10 The House of Gaunt
Harry attends his first lesson with Dumbledore. They use the Pensieve to view the memory of Bob Ogden, a former memeber of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Ogden goes to see Marvolo Gaunt about a complaint against his son Morfin for cursing a Muggle. Morfin attacks Ogden when he arrives and Marvolo is very resistant to speaking to anyone from the Ministry. All of the Gaunts speak primarily in Parseltongue. Marvolo's daughter Merope is terrorized by her father, who considers her a failure. When Tom, a Muggle from the neighboring estate, rides by with a date, Morfin reveals to his father that Merope has a crush on the him. Marvolo is enraged and attacks her. Ogden forces him to release her and flees the scene. Dumbledore and Harry return to Dumbledore's office where they discuss what they have just seen. Dumbledore confirms that Merope is Voldemort's mother and that Tom is his father. He tells Harry what he has been able to piece together about Voldemort's parent's short marriage and Merope's premature death, just after Voldemort's birth.
*Discussion Questions*
Harry was quite convinced that his lessons with Dumbledore would be very different. (Trying to discount the reasons given later in the book.)
Why did you think Dumbledore chose to teach Harry in this way? What was the purpose for this particular lesson?
We are introduced to several members of Voldemort’s family. What were your impressions of them? What are your feelings on the actions taken by Merope? How does she compare to the other “mothers” we discussed earlier?
Dumbledore does a lot of “guesswork” in this chapter. Do you think he is necessarily “right” about all of it?

I don't have time to answer these questions until later today, but just wanted to bump this back up!
Hooray! New chapter! Finally, a bright light in the day.
Harry was quite convinced that his lessons with Dumbledore would be very different. (Trying to discount the reasons given later in the book.)
Why did you think Dumbledore chose to teach Harry in this way?
Luckily (or not), I've forgotten a lot about HP6, so I may be right or wrong in this. I think perhaps Dumbledore still feels a bit guilty over their distance last year, and wants to re-establish his rapport with Harry. I'm not too sure what you mean by "teach harry in this way", but if you mean this content by himself, I would imagine it's because he trusts Harry to be mature and smart enough to understand what he's seeing. Plus Dumbledore couldn't risk teaching this to, say, all the DA students, because he doesn't want to show his hand of what he knows about Voldemort to too many people.
What was the purpose for this particular lesson?
To give Harry and the readers an idea of the environment Voldemort was born into, and thus give Voldemort a (for lack of a better term) more human quality. Plus, I suppose it sets the tone for what we can expect in future lessons, and we get the impression that all of these lessons will be intensive and build up to toppling the V Man.
We are introduced to several members of Voldemort’s family. What were your impressions of them? What are your feelings on the actions taken by Merope? How does she compare to the other “mothers” we discussed earlier?
My impression was that by painting out Voldemort's family history, it's not meant to necessarily elicit sympathy from readers, but to make him less one-dimensional, and provide more understanding for his actions to the readers. As for Merope as a mother, I don't remember the exact quote, but JK was once asked by a fan whether Snape or Voldemort was ever loved. Someone correct me if I'm wrong because I could be giving inaccurate info, but I'm quite sure she said that Voldemort had never been loved before, but Snape had been, which makes Snape's cruelty all the more unforgivable. I'm going to look up the actual quote now. But having said that, I'm under the impression that Merope would have been a loving mother (not necessarily "good"), but died too soon for Voldemort to know aborb or remember it.
ETA: I found the quote. Not a whole lot.
Question: Has Snape ever been loved by anyone?
JKR: Yes, he has, which in some ways makes him more culpable even than Voldemort, who never has.
Dumbledore does a lot of “guesswork” in this chapter. Do you think he is necessarily “right” about all of it?
My impression is that this chapter is meant as exposition. I think he's right with the fundamentals, or else this chapter would be too long if it's been a red herring all along.
Harry was quite convinced that his lessons with Dumbledore would be very different. (Trying to discount the reasons given later in the book.)
Why did you think Dumbledore chose to teach Harry in this way?
I somewhat agree with Tiff on this. They show that Dumbledore really trusts Harry and has seen his maturity enough so that Dumbledore cares about Harry's opinions.
What was the purpose for this particular lesson?
I think that the lesson (or possibly lessons in the future) are to show Harry what Voldemort grew up in, possibly to explain why he is the way he is, and to show important clues that could bring his defeat.
We are introduced to several members of Voldemort’s family. What were your impressions of them? What are your feelings on the actions taken by Merope? How does she compare to the other “mothers” we discussed earlier?
It's interesting looking at Merope compared to other mothers, like Lily, Mrs. Weasley, and even Narcissa. All of those other mothers are very protective and loving to their children, and they put their children's interests before their own. Merope, however, let herself die after her husband left her, even though she had Tom to care for. This shows that she really didn't care as much about Tom as, say, Lily did for Harry. Merope had the power to keep herself alive, but she didn't do it even though she had a son to care for. She certainly doesn't have the bravery of the other mothers.
That's a good point about Merope as a mother.
