I hated the second one (and the first one) but I hear this one might not completely suck. Does it?
I just got back from seeing it, and I think it was WAAAAAY better than the first two. Unlike it's predecessors, it wasn't just three twits bantering. This was A LOT more action packed and the dialogue wasn't as eye roll inducing (all though there are still some). Plus the indie music sprinkled throughout was amazing!
I also think this one was better than the first two. The action sequences were pretty cool. I also liked how some of the other characters (Jasper, Rosalie) got more screen time. I enjoyed it.
Better than the first two. I did enjoy the flashback scenes, but there is still too much trash in these films.Taylor still looks likes he's come directly from a gay porn flick and Kristen is still annoying as hell.
In a strange way the films still have the ability of looking cheap. The UK premiere was probably the biggest one i've ever seen. The fans went nuts.

i'll probably just rent it... but i'm still laughing at how you spelled it TWIGLIT... just laugh every time i see that! haha
I was going to say the same thing.......Twiglit made me laugh.
Was it better than the first two? Yes. However, that's not saying much. My sister and I were going to watch Airbender last night but because of its bad reviews she talked me in to seeing Eclipse instead. I wish I had seen Airbender. If you didn't like the first two you probably won't like this one either.
it was bad. the only good part was the battle. the dialogue made me want to explode laughing. robert pattinson toned down the akwardness in this movie but kstew didn't. paulyd, love the comment about taylor right out of a porn. so true. i don't know why i keep seeing these movies. i feel like if it werent for the hype, twilight would be a mini series on channel 9.
if you read the books and was disappointed in the first 2 movies then you will like this one
I can't think of anything I'd rather do less than read the books.
And yeah my friends and I have called it Twiglit since it came out. It always made us giggle like little school girls. Plus it just makes it sound so damn cute.
I usually call it Twitlight lol
We're seeing it Wednesday. It's only showing at two theatres here within an hour drive and only on one screen each. It was sold out for the weekend when we tried to get tickets last Wednesday. Here you pick seats as if for a live show and there were not two together until mid-week. I think they're underestimating the Swedish tween Twiglit crowd. Everyone I know that likes the series says that this one is better. I have a feeling it's going to go out as the best of the four. I still don't know how they are going to make the last installment. You can polish a turd and even spray paint it gold, but you still have a big ole turd.
I heard they are making the last book into 2 movies? One from Jacob's view and one from Bella's.
SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Oh good lord. It doesn't matter whose POV it's told from, we get a freaky vampire baby making its human VEGETARIAN mother drink human blood throughout her rapid pregnancy, kicking so hard she breaks ribs and eventually her mother's spine and shortly after being ripped from the womb by her father, proceeds to bite a huge chunk out of her mother. And they name her Renesmee. Rosalee, who sort of redeems herself in book 3, goes almost all weird baby snatcher in book 4. Oh yeah, and Jacob falls in love, literally, with the baby the moment he sees her. That book just KILLED me. Maybe they will just edit the hell out of it and try to improve it. The only thing I really like were the vampires from different tribes all over the world. I suppose the Volturi stand off could be interesting. Maybe.
That being said, I kind of enjoyed the novella that Stephanie just published. It's a few days in the life of one of the newborns from Eclipse. She's in the movie. It's free to read online until the 7th.

Jacob falls in love with the newborn? Does he like...do it with the baby?
No. It's a warewolf thing...lol. They call it imprinting. When a warewolf meets their soulmate, they know instantly. They don't age, so if they aretoo young, they just wait and act like a big brother or friend until they fall in love. They should tackle that subject in the new movie. Man, it sounds even worse when you try to explain it.
No, but the baby is weird and grows up very quickly because she's so special. Read this, and you'll get the story in a nutshell. The writing is better than what Meyers does.

JG2, that sounds like something NAMBLA would use to try to explain it. LOL
One good thing about the movies: You won't have to read Stephanie Meyer's atrocious "writing".
the 4th book was atrocious and it was written like someone else published bad fan fiction. It was horrible but I was hoping the final battle would redeem something.
**SPOILER**
No battle happens. The Voltori just decide to ignore it all.
**END SPOILER**
SPOILER:
They don't REALLY ignore it all, they just realize what Renesmee is know they can't take them all on with Super Bella and her protective powers. lol
And then Bella goes to the mall and tries on these super cute jeans she saw in last months Seventeen but gets soooooooooo pissed because her mom says they're too much money and even though Bella says she won't ask for anything for her birthday OR Christmas if she can just get them her mom still says no and Bella runs out of JC Penny crying and ends up in Edwards arms and as he looks at her he knows what she needs.
Some frozen yogurt.
