harris, you've really not added anything to the discussion. no one was saying that the person was self-loathing by not attending pride, it was the attitude described earlier.
in fact, diva said he wasn't going and that every day should be pride and no one jumped on him or called him self-loathing because he was making a point about not attending and why. it's not everyone's cup of tea and people may think it has outlived its purpose or lost it's true meaning, etc. but those opinions are informed and thought-out - not a knee jerk reaction to something someone saw on tv once.

And, frankly, I've been to enough Pride events to last a lifetime.
Maybe next year, when I'm not spending the week-end moving...
If you want to go, GO and enjoy youselves! If it isn't your 'cup of tea', then DON'T go! Just don't come to a web site and complain about it.

ooh look the self loather is back. And what did he do during the parade. he spent the day with his boyfriend in his apartment. Not everyone has to like all fags alright. and just because i don't doesn't mean i hate myself (more than likely it means i hate you). I spent the day with the man i love and who i'm PROUD to be with. i didn't need to spend the day surrounded by a bunch of people who are just gonna annoy the **** out of me to fit in with your image of PRIDE you self righteous, hollier than thou bunch of our way or the highway prats
