Has anybody heard of Schlock Rock? They are from Israel. It's a band of like 4-5 Jewish guys thar take 'regular songs' such as Under the Boardwalk and make Jewish words fit the music. It's actually very very funny!! If you've never seen or heard of them, I urge you to go check out their website and if they aren't coming to your town anytime soon; I suggest you get one of the many CD's.

Doctor Lek is good, but too touristy. If you are going for Israeli dessert, you gotta go to Marzipan and get their fresh out of the oven chocolate rugeleh. now THAT is to die for!!!

I make rugelach at home, so there's no need. :) I go to Israel in the summer, so, it's ice cream for me in the afternoon.
And now, for no apparent reason, I have a craving for my uncle's shipudim. I must have eaten 7 of them last time I visited. Mmm.

Musical...
It's new? I heard it many years ago in school. My Hebrew teacher (I went to day school) always played us music from Israel. Sarit Hadad, Aviv Gefen, of course Naomi Shemer. I love that song, my friend and I would end up singing it around town, because we knew it so well. That and "Ani Hozer HaBayita, Ani VeHa Guitara", and so many more. I like Israeli music. And everyone should know "Ani Ochev Otach".
Yes, put the songs here!
