"This one was created so as not to disturb the ever so delicate sensibilities of mainstream theater lovers like yourself."
Way to generalize theatre lovers. I didn't see that description of the board anywhere. If you don't like the way I react to something, that's your problem. No one else responded so many times or so maliciously as yourself.
"Real people talk about other things that people write, ESPECIALLY in off-topic boards."
I did. I stated my opinion. You just didn't like what I had to say and threw a big bully tantrum and call me names like a child. How did you ever pass Junior High?
"And things were going along fine until you decided to step in and give a widdle wecture about tones YOU don't want to see in the message board."
Actually, things were going well until you threw your tantrums over my "widdle wecture" that YOU didn't want to see in the message board. That was the only thing I had to say, but for some reason, it really got under your skin.
"Well, tough."
My sentiments exactly.
"And you sir, are a phoney baloney."
More of your hypocrosy. Are you a mind-reader? You don't know jack about me.
Whether you like it or not, I can post my thoughts, too. Responding is your choice.

"hypocrosy?"
It is, of course, perfect that you refuse to acknowledge that there is an "I" in hypocrisy.

Posted: 12/26/03 at 10:06amCorrect me if I'm wrong but, wasn't this board created as a direct response to complaints about frivolous, silly threads? Isn't this the board where people are supposed to post irrelevant topics, rants and raves, silly nonsense and sarcastic posts? This enables the thoughtful, pure Broadway related threads to go on without being polluted by this kind of crap at the On Topic board.

BroadwayGuy2, you need to go stand in the corner after that older than dirt remark ![]()
Elaine is one of the last gutsy Broadway Broads. There are few around these days with the know how to craete an enduring image for themselves. I've said this many times but it bears repeating, the younger Broadway fans that log on here should learn a little about the older than dirt performers who have lasted decades in a very tough business where most people disappear after a show or two. Some of tehse older performers, those taht are still around and those that have passed away, mey seem corney and unglamorous these days but, they are part of the history of something that we all love. You can't completely understand Broadway or appreciate it without some knowledge of that history.
Let's meet back here in a couple of years and compare notes on Sutton to see if she is a Broadway legend or starring on a Friday night WB sitcom.

YES, Orion, you are correct when you write: "Correct me if I'm wrong but, wasn't this board created as a direct response to complaints about frivolous, silly threads? Isn't this the board where people are supposed to post irrelevant topics, rants and raves, silly nonsense and sarcastic posts?"
THIS is what I was trying to get at when telling MisterMatt that his little prissy lecture about manners and behavior has NO PLACE on this board, (yes, Matt, I know it wasn't directed to me, I wasn't being defensive, I was just telling you YOU were being inappropriate).

i have a short comment on these kinds of feuds (not that i haven't engaged in the past): kindly use the PM's. Otherwise you are both just attention-seekers.
And i'm all for a more civil society, Mr. Matt. Perhaps the best way to keep evolving toward one is to avoid distancing young enthusiastic posters because ANYONE is oh-so-much-more sophisticated. Think the best possible of others, because any other approach will only bring out their worst. i'm as confrontational as the next guy, but i try to stick to facts and not character assissination.
