Only the IGNORANT can "Blame Bush"!
BILL CLINTON: "Republicans want to take us back to the policies that got us into this mess in the first place."
The problem is we already DID elect the people who got us into this mess in the first place!! Namely Barack Obama.
In 1995 Barack Obama, working as a civil rights attorney for ACORN, sued Citibank for not giving home mortgages to low-income (mainly African American) families who had applied for home loans. He won the lawsuit and 186 families were given what are now referred to as SUB-PRIME loans; basically loans given to people who CANNOT AFFORD TO PAY THEM! Of those 186, only SIXTEEN are still in the homes today making payments. More than half of them defaulted and were foreclosed upon.
Here he is folks!
And for the multitude of ignorants who will come here and post childish, name-calling rants; Sticks and stones can break my bones, but YOU CAN'T BREAK MY ARGUMENT!
Barack Obama is to blame!

Sticks and stones can break my bones, but YOU CAN'T BREAK MY ARGUMENT!
The jokes just write themselves, don't they?
It must be hard for mikey, being single and all.
And such a prize! You would have thunk some lucky person would have snatched him up already!
We don't even have to break your arguments. Like Mitt Romney's campaign, they fall apart on their own.
Wait--170 homeowners caused the worldwide economic crisis?
Mikey, with due respect your facts are wrong. Obama didn't advocate subprime policy in that case, he only advocated that it be implemented fairly and not on the basis of race. Citibank was giving subprime loans to white families and not to black families. That was what the case was about. The subprime policy wasn't Obama's fault. Not at all. He merely advocated on behalf of clients who were being discriminated against in the way the policy was implemented. People who were financially identical to others who were given loans but were refused because of race.
Obama didn't put the policy into effect. He was not a politician at the time. He was an attorney and community organizer. And he was doing his job, a very noble one as it happens.
I agree with you that we can't lay the blame for the country's economic woes solely on Bush. Every administration since Reagan, including Clinton's, has a lot to answer for, as Clinton has been the first to admit.
But you can't blame economic policies before the Obama administration on Obama, and you certainly can't fault him for doing what any responsible civil rights attorney would do, and has a duty to do, make sure the policies in place are applied in a non-discriminatory way.
Unless of course you are pro-discrimination based on race? In which case of course you go ahead and blame Obama.
Henrik, you don't understand. BLACK PEOPLE GOT LOANS! One hundred and eighty-six of them! Do you not see how that brought about a global economic crisis?!
It's because black people are lazy and don't want to do work and they all expect Obama to pay for their gas, that's what caused this whole mess.
And it's because of Blackarack Obama that gas now costs $20 a gallon and my 7 year old daughter is being taught in school how to give a blow job to a homo!
Not to mention the entire Middle East is literally now a smoking crater, and all Barack Obama did was send a Whitman's Sampler to Ahmadinejad!

Did Rush Limbaugh tell this story this week? My "mother-in-law" made this exact same argument to me. So either she and Mikey listen to the same rigthwing nutjobs or....oh my God! Mikey IS my mother-in-law!
So...what? They've given up on Mittens and the fall-back position is to defend BUSH?
If I were you, Mikey, I'd just head straight for the citadel. Eisenhower--now THERE's a Republican you can defend...
BLACK PEOPLE!!! AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
"And it's because of Blackarack Obama that gas now costs $20 a gallon and my 7 year old daughter is being taught in school how to give a blow job to a homo!"
I'm pretty sure that the Nancy Pelosi-approved curriculum would not be teaching little girls how to GIVE a blow-job TO a homo. That might be seen as dis-respectful to the homo, who may not be into little girls. I suspect that your 7 year old daughter is being taught how to perform oral sex BY a homo who are, after all, the acknowledged leaders in the field. No child left behind!

Holy CRAP, Henrik!! Where the HELL did YOU come from?? Someone who comes onto this board, responds to the SUBSTANCE of someone's posts, and does it without childish name calling?
Of course I am not really blaming Obama for the entire housing crash. In the whole scheme of things, it was just one more straw on the camel's back. While it did only involve less than 200 families, the repercussions in the housing market were much larger as banks were suddenly afraid to deny loans to people who could not afford them.
Bush passed a HORRIBLE law called something like the Affordable American Dream Act, which let poor people qualify for loans with no down payments. However, when you look at the totality, (and I have more evidence pointing out the duplicity of the Democratic Party in the housing crash to come in future posts) the idea that Pres. Bush was somehow responsible for the housing crash, is just a MYTH created by the people who actually CAUSED the housing crash.

So the court case that said white people and black people had to be treated equally in lending caused the crash-- not the "horrible law which let poor people qualify for loans with no down payments." (your words) Interesting. No wonder you are a Republican.

1. Citibank had evidence supporting their claim that race was not a criteria for lain denial.
2. I am able to recognize Bush's horrible 2003 law as CONTRIBUTING to the downfall. The question I raise is, Can liberals recognize THEIR party's contribution to the downfall? From what I've heard, the answer is a resounding "NO!".
If I am wrong, please indicate where Pres. Obama or any other high-level Democratic politician has said, "Yes, the Democratic Party had a hand in this economic disaster."

Only the IGNORANT can "Blame Bush" Part Deux!!
Here we see Pres. Bill Clinton BRAGGING about all the sub-prime loans that have been issued under his administration. Clinton pushed for banks to give mortgages to people who COULD NOT AFFORD THEM under the CRA (Community Reinvestment Act).
Clinton Brags about sub-prime mortgages
Obama has done NOTHING to improve things. 6 trillion dollars of Obama debt. 23 million unemployed. 47 million on food stamps. Four more years of the same, and America will be on its knees.
Jim, you simply do not know what you speak. You are a America Hating Not Christ believing hatemonger racist. Nothing more.I question if you really did serve your country. You should know what you are talking about before you ditto spew your hate speech. So, there were no people on food stamps before Obama? ALL OF THIS MESS is Obama's doing alone? You yourself have blamed Bush for things but now you blame Obama.
You are a ugly excuse of a human and your stupidity is just sad.
The last thing I want to see is Jim Colyer, White Supremacist on his knees.
mikey,
I have already posted proof in your other thread, that it is, in fact, the Republicans fault.
Here it is again, since you can't seem to remember facts:
Damning evidence from CBPP lays responsibility for budget deficit on Republicans
Obama has done NOTHING to improve things
That statement alone implies that there already was a mess needing him to "improve things".
