there's even a poster on here who uses JungleRed as their nick. It's classic.

has anyone ever seen the movie musical based on THE WOMEN? I think it's called THE OPPOSITE SEX; I've seen trailers for it on AMC or some such but never the actual film. I bet it's fascinating....I seem to recall Joan Collins is in it, among many other stars o' the day.

Juno is a cute movie, but months of over-praising led to an Oscar that by rights belonged to Tony Gilroy

OH Phyllis I love you AND TWOP! And in the run up to the Oscars, I started to have the strangest feeling that I actually saw Ms Cody in her pre-success profession at on one of Chicago's "Gentlemen's Clubs." It is a small small world after all.

Well, it just goes to show. I knew Brooke when she was a poster on the SMiLE Shop message board. She met her husband Jon who was the co-moderator/owner, through their love of this particular Beach Boys album.
Once they married Brooke didn't post so much, but Jon would give updates on how she was doing. I remember reading one that said Brooke was writing a screen play, I though yeah, right...

I'm still confused about this dress on Diablo you all keep talking about.
I didn't she was wearing a dress. I thought it was leopard print lingerie.

the JUNO screenplay had its problems, but I'm not sure MICHAEL CLAYTON's was perfect either. In fact, there wasn't a screenplay this year that I felt really clearly was "Best"....
Fine then, the screenplay for Ratatouille, the screenplay for Lars and the Real Girl, or the screenplay for The Savages.
... or how about the screenplay to Before the Devil Knows You're Dead, the BEST original screenplay of the year!

Liked Diablo. The dress wasn't that bad. Loved Juno. Loved the screenplay. Knew she would win. Totally deserved.
That's all.
That's all.

She owns at least three different leopard print dresses. I read a feature article on her in the paper last week, and she was shown wearing two different ones - NOT her Oscar gown.

I loved overhearing gang bangers on the Metro talking about her today.

Diablo was a sweetheart when I met her a few months ago. Her and Ellen are so adroable together. I'm really happy for both of them and their success.

I stand corrected, SAVAGES was a brilliant screenplay...not so sure about the so-quickly-curling toes, but otherwise....
The rest you mention are good-to-great too, no doubt. I didn't mean to offend you.

I thought her win was exciting and well deserved. Her past doesn't dictate her future and shouldn't be used as ammo against her. She's a writer--not a politician!
