Posted: 3/4/08 at 9:47pmBeing in Ohio, Obama didn't work as hard here as Hillary did. Her ads were much more pointed and specific, Obama's just felt like stock ads.

i'll respond by using one of hillary's favorite lines...
we never expected him to win ohio.
or texas for that matter. so the fact that they're splitting texas right now and he has done as well as he has in that state is awesome... she's winning more areas of texas, but he's winning where the higher concentration of people are... houston, etc... take it for what it is... but for months clinton has been reminding us how texas was hers, and obama has put up an incredible fight and really narrowed the gap.
shes still behind. way behind. but i'm sure she'll spin this to her advantage... good for her i say. shes hanging on by a string but she wants to keep fighting... i have to give her credit for that

A lot of Ohio hasn't been reported yet, including some big cities. She'll probably take it but the gap may close.
Hillary's politics of fear worked. They'll work just as well for McCain in '08, whoever the nominee. Sadly, if she's the nominee I don't think Hillary has much to back herself up once McCain effectively demolishes her claims to experience in government and with foreign policy with his own rather more substantial record.
She'll spin tonight as a win for her, but once the dust clears Obama'll still be in the lead as far as numbers go.

Tazber, of course, but Obama isn't running with the campaign slogan "Ready on Day One". He's not starting fights over who'll pick up the red phone the fastest. Hillary's gonna look ludicrous pulling that against John McCain. He's going to say "Who do you want, a president who's actually experienced or a president who claims her husband's experience as her own".
I mean, hell, Hillary endorsed McCain over Obama. Even she doesn't appear to have much faith in her own party.
Hillary is trying to out-experience McCain. Obama's offering an alternative.
I have to hand it to the GOP. They bit their tongues and rallied.

Posted: 3/4/08 at 11:10pmTime to go to bed. They're showing Clinton leading Obama in Texas by ONE percentage point. I don't dare keep this on because you know it won't last! (It's sure nice to see though)

Obama's supporters chant "Yes we can."
Hillary's supporters chant "Yes we WILL!"
Ah, I love that.
