top three:
james dean
montgomery clift
paul newman
Errol Flynn and Monty Clift are my two faves. I am sure there are more but Errol was just beautiful for words til the early 40's and Monty was a babe til the accident. Lets face it, they were both hawt!

Too bad you don't have a pic of him in tights from THE PIRATE!

Errol Flynn and Paul Newman. All the way.
Errol was actually my very first crush. 5 years old, watching Robin Hood on TV. Love at first sight.
Plus Errol was a bad boy....who can resist that?
Not that he wasn't gorgeousness personified, but Errol Flynn looked like he knew things to do to you in bed that would make you see God.
i can't help but think that cary elwes and errol flynn resemble each other.

oh man....
Warren William - so commanding, so high class, and sometimes...so deliciously cruel.
Joel McCrea - I'd take a smack from this man anytime.
Walter Huston - now, this is one is a little odd, but Huston in Dodsworth gets me every time. And his pre code lawyers are harsh...in such a good way.
Robert Montgomery - he was HOT before 1938...and his roles of the rich boy gone bad were incredible. And don't get me started on him in "The Big House".
Gary Cooper - another guy that could smack me around and hear no complaints. Seen him in Desire? or Saratoga Trunk? He had his own sex theme in the latter for god's sake.
Clark Gable - forget Rhett, go back to his movies with Crawford in the pre-code...
Douglas Fairbanks Jr...he always looked so inncocent, yet so...educated and knowing.
Got to pop me a DVD now.
"Got to pop me a DVD now."
Is that what the kids call it these days?
I've alwyas had a thing for the young John Wayne...He was quite dashing in his early films!
Other than that -
Robert Mitchum
Cary Grant
Tyrone Power
John Payne...
As a tot, I remember the courtroom scene in MIRACLE ON 34th STREET and remarking how big and hairy John Paynes fingers were. I think I was on to something...
That Dinah Shore had superb taste. Extra Hot points: George Montgomery was Ukranian and could speak it and Russian fluently.
A Tom of Finland drawing made flesh. And what flesh! Looks like Guy needs to be satisfied orally...
One of my favorite films as a child - LOVE HAS MANY FACES starring "Huge" O'Brian, as a 'beach hustler' seen mostly clad in just tight white bikini briefs. Lana's another gal with excellent taste. A few years before this, she insisted that a 28-year old Scot named Sean Connery be cast opposite her in ANOTHER TIME, ANOTHER PLACE.
I know...odd taste. But I always thought the 1930s-40s Jack Benny was absolutely adorable.
Also. Pre-1940 Spencer Tracy. And 1930s Lee Tracy (no relation). I guess gotta thing for Irish mugs - yet I don't find Cagney hot. Fabulous actor, but he's too ratlike.
