Yeah, my mom didn't book a hotel room/flight yet for NY (which is in about...14 days now). I've got the flight figured out, but now I'm looking for a hotel. Can you tall tell me some of the hotels that are in Times Square? Any nice hotels? What are your favorites in Times Square? So far I've tried The W Hotel and the Mariott Marquis. Thank you so much!

the Millennium is nice also. Grand lobby, close to the theatre, and not super expensive.

Hmmm-- two weeks away and you haven't booked a hotel? I think you need a couple nights at the Milford Plaza.

I promise you will NEVER forget to book early again! Enjoy!

Hotel QT on W. 46th is the "hottest" new boutique hotel, but also the most affordable. Doubles are $125 I believe, and the lobby is a hotspot (for now) for its bar, pool, and hammam (sauna).

If you're going for nice with a great view and location, the Sheraton Manhattan. If you're going for cheap with a good location, the Portland Square.

I stayed at the Ameritania last week for $129/night (54th & Broadway). Try hotels.com or nychotels.com.

Are there any that are nicer than the W Hotel in Times Square? I'm asking if there are any others that can compare to it. There are still rooms available at the W.

Last time we had to stay in a Radisson (Lexington). Wow, talk about awful service.

Probably not what you are looking for but there is the Marriot(sp?) Marquis. It's the only place I've stayed in the city and probably will be the only play since my dad is into his whole Marriot timeshares.

I stay at the Crowne Plaza or the Millenium, both are nice and usually not rediculously expensive.

I LOVE the W!!!! My favorite by FAR!

And the other thing about the Phantom Lady was, Bert, she realized, in the city that never sleeps... What did she realize, Kitten? That all the songs she'd listened to, all the love songs, that they were only songs. What's wrong with that? Nothing, if you don't believe in them. But she did, you see. She believed in enchanted evenings, and she believed that a small cloud passed overhead and cried down on a flower bed, and she even believed there was breakfast to be had... Where? On Pluto. The mysterious, icy wastes of Pluto.

Try:
Doubletree on Lexington or the Doubletree Suites on Broadway
The Millenium on 44th
Sofitel

They are all showing availability for 2 weeks from now.

The Broadway Inn! It's a bed and breakfast but it's really nice, staff are really friendly and helpful, rooms are plenty big enough, spotlessly clean, comfy... it's brilliant! I wont stay anywehere else and it's really cheap and really close to Time Square!

Aw, no-I'm not gonna be in town for the picnic. re: Hotels in Times Square? I'm leaving on the 25th. Thank you all so much for your help! Are any of these as nice as the W? I saw the W when I went with my mom-and it was awesome! I was so mad I chose to stay in the Rasisson (because my friend was also staying in the Radisson. We only saw her for about 15 minutes though. re: Hotels in Times Square?)

I have not stayed at the W, but the Michaelangelo is a wonderful hotel. The Righa is just as nice (if not nicer) and is a suite hotel. The major networks (i.e. ABC, CBS, NBC) generally book at the Righa.

The Michaelangelo is part of the old Taft Hotel - the rest is condos

Right nearby is the site of my beloved Roxy - sniffle sniffle

I stayed at the Doubletree on Lexington. There's a subway right next to it, so the location's quite convenient. The beds are also very comfy. :)

I heartily recommend the Comfort Inn Midtown. It's just off Times Square, maybe a block away, and they offer small but clean rooms and continental breakfasts. Plus, it was renovated in 2000 and if you can get a room in the back of the hotel, you'll have a virtually silent room.

you should stay at the doubletree hotel in time square. It has really nice rooms, a great location, but the price is pretty steep.
