I do wonder what would happen if they were ugly lesbians.

Well, ugly people, straight or gay, shouldn't be in public, in any case.

Now now, everyone knows that only bisexuals are ugly. That's why they need both options - they don't know if they will get laid again!

You know what's really funny about amanda/Dakin/HD/George Wallace throat quote? That she thinks it's HER place to grant us acceptance and that her respect is of value.
And what exactly IS the homosexual lifestyle? I mean, mine is Golden Girls, 420, Little Edie and chronic masturbation, but I know plenty of gay guys who are just as uptight and repressed as any het. Just curious...

I'm not happy about my position against this bill, but I do not believe in criminalizing thought.

Some thoughts are already criminal chita--ever watch those stings on Dateline when they nab the guys sending dirty emails to underage kids?
Speech that advocates the violent overthrow of the country is also against the law--as is obscenity on the airwaves.

Exactly! Those stings are illegal and it's definitely the criminalization of thought!
Lil, perfect example why this is wrong!
...and hello! There are NO kids involved in those BS stings. None. Not one.

That's not really the intention of this law, and I think you probably know that chita--where your philosophical argument has validity, this is to protect people from getting the sh!t beat out of them and their attackers from pulling some Twinkie defense...

Listen, you brought up Dateline.
I am less offended by this bill than Dateline's predator stings.
(what's a twinkie defense?)
actually Dateline is the predator.

Stephanie Miller played a clip this morning of a Rightie saying that if this bill passes, it will be a crime for Churches to preach against Homosexual acts.
I enjoyed last night as Fox presented a debate between some guy who was frothing at the mouth he hated this bill so much and a guy who just thought it was unneccessary as Gays had too many "Special Rights" already. It made for a very Fair & Balanced presentation.

It never ceases to amaze me how time keeps moving forward, technology and communication advance and grow at an alarming rate, yet these people get stupider by the minute.

What are these "special rights" Conservative Christians claim we have? I want to know what I'm missing.

If you click on the link to see the clip of Barney Frank banging the gavel, read a few of the comments posted below and you'll see why we need this bill.

WOW Sondheimboy is right-- everyone needs to read the You Tube comments about this issue! I'll just say that it made me grateful for the even-tempered, well-considered debate on this site!
