One time I was watching Jerry Springer, and they went into some women's trailer, and her floors and counters were literally COVERED in trash and cockaroaches...ewww...

Another time, when I was helping with a bus safety program at an elementary school, we were getting ready to leave and the bus driver started talking to some other bus drivers. The story went like this: She was explaining to the kids that you shouldn't have food on the bus. Then she asked the group of kids, "Why shouldn't you bring food and drinks on the bus?" One of the little kids answered, "So you don't have ants and cockaroaches crawling around like they do at my house." Kids say the darndest things - it was a bit funny, but at the same time sad because of the poor kid in those living conditions.

I try to keep things as neat and clean as possible. My parents taught us that even though we didn't have a lot of money that was no excuse for us to be messy and dirty.

My siblings and I all are quite tidy.
