So, it's all over -- I've seen "All About Eve", and it may be one of the finest movies I have ever seen. Also, I now get every single reference in Ruthless -- it's very exciting.
Bette Davis, Anne Baxter, what performances!
Goodnight everyone.

I love All about Eve... have you seen "The Women"... if not, save it for your trip up here. We've got to watch that together.
Just got back from "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes". Awesome... review on the main board.

We were just talking last night about All About Eve, The Women, Stagedoor, Sunset Blvd, Mildred Pierce, Madame X, and Imitation of Life as our favorite old movies.....
we actually found gay men in their 30's who had NEVER seen The Women........I actually told them to surrender their Gay cards until they watched it.

It's a must! I saw it onstage too in DC (a long time ago) and it was wonderful.
I'm getting all nostalgic about old films... must admit I haven't seen Mildred Pierce *ducks*

What is the normal answer to, "Shira, have you seen this movie?"
Nope, haven't seen it -- I'm saving "All That Jazz" and "The Women" for you.

I feel so loved!
And I saw "42nd Street" for the first time today -- Tonight will be "Broadway Melody of 1940" OR something else, like "The L Word" -- we'll see.
I know, I know I need to see "Imitation of Life" (and a million others), but the stupid Hollywood Video doesn't have it.

Beav, isn't I Am My Own Wife spectacular?
By the way, we can add "Seven Brides to Seven Brothers" to my "seen" list!
I'm going to see if the video store has "Imitation of Life" -- if not, I may start my Marilyn collection...

What I thought was just a cold must be a different sorta bug, cause I'm feelin' really punky today.
No chuckle from the Boobster yet. Hmm. Hope he's o.k.
Now, back to bed for me.

That's an . . . 'interesting' combination.

Yeah, yeah...that's what I happened to rent, sheesh.
On the twin bill with Adam's Rib, I was thinking of a) Kiss Me Kate, or b) whatever else they have on DVD. Maybe FAME?

No, I know! I fascinate you all, I realize, in my movie choices. Hey, at least I'm seeing movies
After seeing Butterfield, I realize that I really want a mink. Though I don't plan on acquiring it that way.
