She also said 'AIDS is Gods revenge on Gays.' I was in college and not gay yet , but remember the uproar. It almost ended her career-it DID actually, for several years. But she's just too darn talented and has apologized many times.

Yes, she is talented. I saw her in concert in the mid 90's and she still had it! I'm glad she apoligized for those comments.
