I know what you mean. She was incredible in that movie. That's one I wish I had on DVD right now so I could see it again. (Add it to my order page.)
Hey Wifey. Make sure to put Poseidon Adventure on DVD on the list for Mamie for her B-Day.
*types it up on Excel b'day list of our "couple friends"*
My wife is the BEST !!!! *Note to self: buy Rath some new chandelier earrings*
Awe - you're so sweet.
It just occured to me that I probably had it on VHS - I looked and sure enough, it was there. Unfortunately it looks like a very old, dying, kitty cat got to it first.
OH - remember Leslie Nielson in his pre-comedy days? SUCH A HANDSOME CAPTAIN!
*remembers why she married him*
Yes Mamie...I forgot all about him in it. It's hard to look at him now and find him serious. He was a very handsome man.
MY POSEIDON ADVENTURE STORY-
I saw it with my best friend, his sister and mother. She was on welfare, so she made us put a blanket over our legs and scrunch down so we could get the children's price (10 and under), when we were a little over 10 and rather tall.
Once inside, she spent all the savings on cigarettes and beer!
yeah, yeah, all these memories...what do you remember MOST besides Shelly??? You remember that SONG and why????
Because it was sung gloriously - that voice, like of an angel...you couldn't get it out of your head, could you? And what's more, you didn't WANT to.
true dat, true dat. But i never wanted to touch her boobies
Well dat good cuz day be mahn!
I wish she would've sang it in the actual movie and not just for the credits.
Yeah, instead of any dialogue, just that angel voice singing for 2 hours...oh yeah. I like that idea, Boobs...
Hey Rath darling....I think you should do a duet of "The Morning After" with her.
cause Rathy wants to drown in Maureen's gushing ocean!
I wouldn't want to cut her voice with mine. I'll do a different kind of duet with her, okay?
You do want to show Mo your range don't you ?
I certainly do, darling.
Just checking wifey.
Now I'm off to bed...I wish I could stay up and play longer but work kicked the crap out of me today and I'm exhausted.
Hugs and kisses all around. XOXOOXOX
Night, sexy.
Hm. I remember going to see the Poseidon Adventure and I remember the song. That's pretty much my memory of the whole thing. Guess I'll see if anyone I know has it, so I can borrow it.
Boobs, sorry you had such a lousy day at work today, well yesterday. Hopefully your days will get better. We missed you this morning.
I picked a hell of a couple days to take off. It gets announced that my company will probably be bought, not that my being in the office would have prevented that. Now I have something else to have anxiety attacks over. I really hate not having control over everything in my life.

Tinfoil...The Terrorizing Terminator
i have three words about the poseidon adventure - - -
PAMELA SUE MARTIN.
the poseiden adventure brings me back to this post's original question...how did we survive? i think it was my 8th or 9th birthday, whatever...i was young. my parents took my brother and myself to the top of the sears tower...the building was pretty new then, very exciting..it still is..next....drum roll please...of course they took us to see the movie "the towering inferno". my parents are sick and funny...bless their hearts.
At least they didn't take you to the movie first and then the tower!
I know...we've always said that. There is now way ANY of us would have gone up there that day.
