Yep, the song. We all remember the song.
bdwaygirl, I know what you mean about not having control - I feel that way all the time - we're always at someone's mercy - landlord, MTA, employers...I often wonder how we ended up here from the caves!
I was obsessed with Poseidon Adventure as a child. I had the ViewMaster discs and I used to stack boxes in my room so that I could climb them and try to escape. The only problem was, I always played Linda (wearing one of my father's shirts) and I had to fall just before I reached the top.
And I could listen to that song on a loop all day. I love the way the passengers dance inappropriately to it as if they are seriously rocking out.
There was a musical parody here in Chicago a couple of years ago. It was a good idea, but the score was pretty awful. They did some cross-gender casting which did not work so well except for the guy who played Nonnie. He was the best part of the show. I loved how he sang the repeat and fade ending of The Morning After...
"There's got to be a morning af-There's got to be a morning af-There's got to be a morning af-There's got to be..."
Bongo, did you ever find that K-Tel album you were obsessed with?

Tinfoil...The Terrorizing Terminator
Ahh those K-Tel albums. I have to be honest I almost never leave Barnes and Nobels or Best Buy w/o a 60's or 70's collection CD. (How sad is that?)
Not sad, just nostalgic.

and quickly running out of room in the CD racks! Only solution... buy another CD rack!
Hi Everyone!
I survived the "ice storm" that hit Atlanta on Friday and Saturday and was able to make it to The Graduate at The Fox Theatre on Sunday night. I thought that the show was pretty good - Morgan Fairchild still looks terrific! I can't believe that it's been almost 20 years since I saw the movie with Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft.
Is anyone up for a 70's trivia question this afternoon???
Go for it, jungle.

I guess I wasted too much time in front of the TV during childhood God knows I wouldn't have a clue about the current shows!
Sadly, DG, I spent too much time in front of the TV as a child and I STILL do! But I don't have a fabulous partner and lovely home life like you do.

Rath - believe me, the home life still includes some TV - it's just now pretty much always something on the Food Network or HGTV (or Homo and Gay TV, as we refer to it )
LOL! That's a good one.
