We grew up calling it pork roll. That sounds so good right about now, bongo. Cafeteria should be opening up soon. Maybe I'll get one today.
SOMMS, you should have heard me driving home yesterday. I can't sing to begin with, so just imagine what those notes must have sounded like. Good thing I was alone, and it was to cold to have the windows open.
Our fingerprints don't fade from the lives we touch.
Puppies are babies in fur coats.

Terry Jacks. I have that 45, too. Will we be playing all our 45's at the soire at your house, Boobs?

Oh yes Girly...I'm breaking out all the old 45's...some 78's too.
I still have one of those round 45 holders that had a fuzzy face over it...do you remember those? For some reason "Honey" just popped into my head....remember Bobby Goldboro? And Honey I miss you...and I'm being good...and I'd love to be with you...if only I could.
I had seasons in the sun on a complation album..I think it was Ktel's "Dynamite"...**runs to yahoo and starts to search""
Ewww I always hated that song. Too inspid. Morning BB!
Morning Mom and Bongo...I need a coffee IV set up today Mom. I laugh because on Sunday I went to the diner for breakfast with a friend and she asked the waiter to do that for her...LOL !!!
BTW...what song did you hate Mom..Season in the Sun or Honey?
Does anyone remember Harper's Bazaar and their hit "Ill Build a Stairway to Paradise". I've still got that 45. Of course it's originally a 1920's Gershwin hit and is now done by Rufus Wainright on The Aviator soundtrack.
And done beautifully by Mr Wainwright I must say. He can do no wrong.
Wow SOMMS...now I have to go buy the Soundtrack to The Aviator..I love Rufus Wainwright !!!
Good morning Pop..or should I say Good Afternoon to you?
I'm 18 and so much of that applies to me.
The highlight of my Childhood was Pong and Pacman on a Commadoore 64. I grew up adoring Trouble and the Game of Life.
I got a GameBoy so I could play Tetris...and never played any other games.
I grew up opposite a big open field and spent many of my days playing on it, flying kites etc.
I loved to Imagine. I can remember building a big house out of Cardboard, and my Best Friend and I would spend hours in there, pretending to be married, be teachers etc.
I was born in the wrong Decade. I am so innocent, so uncorrupted by the world, and that makes it very hard to fit in.
I don't want to fit in...not with that.
Afternoon. It's 1pm here as I am sure you know.
Paradox..that's amazing..you don't find many young people who even know what The Game of Life is. I remember getting in a big box and rolling down a hill with about 2 others friends...we could never stay still.
Pop..what's for lunch? Maybe you can give me some ideas for later.
Where are you Pop?
It's just passed midnight on thursday morning here in Australia.
I'm in the UK, paradox.
And it's all very exciting, Boobs. I am eating solid food for the first time in a week. Go me.
It was a happy day when a refrigerator or washer or dryer was delivered to Sunset Hills. Kids in boxes rolling down all of the steep hills for hours. Did anybody have those pogo boots, or that ball on a chord that you attached to your ankle and then jumped over?
This is sweet..I've always wanted to return to London and now I have someone there to visit and now I even have someone in Austrailia to visit....I've always wanted to travel to Austrailia..just the flying time scares me, but I made in to Hong Kong with no problem so I'm sure I'll be fine.
When I was Ten my families Game of Life broke.
I saved up all Forty Dollars to buy a new one.
In my opinion this is one of the best games EVER!
This thread has reminded me that I really am an old soul.
My ex once called me the oldest 17-year-old he knew.
He was right.
This thread is for all "Old Souls" and old bodies as is my case.
Boobs does have an old body, but I won't hold it against me, err, him.
Ahhhhh SOMMS...it's not gonna work..trying to butter me up like that.
Back to the topic....
So who was hotter..Bobby Sherman or David Cassidy??? Whos poster did you have hanging in your bedroom?
oops boy am I way behind!! It's Honey I could never stand. Seaons in the Sun is just another very depressing song. But Honey just makes me puke.
Most definitely Bobby Sherman! He and Bridget Hanley on Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, swoon!
