I just came on here to make a thread about this. I have a conflict and won't get to watch until about fifteen minutes into it. But I'm really excited; I've been a fan since day one.

I gave up on it several seasons back but I've been checking in on it and will probably watch tonight. I don't think people are going to be happy.

I'm watching it. I'm more of a casual viewer, so I haven't seen every episode. There are just a couple of things that would slightly annoy me about the ending. I hope those are not the twists.

I feel like I just spent 9 years watching a show that went in a complete circle. They threw some kids in the mix to make you think that they grew up... but in the end the show went absolutely nowhere

Yeah, I was really hoping it wouldn't happen. But, unfortunately with the rumors, I remembered the look Ted's kids gave him in the series premiere, and I sort of guessed how those rumors could happen, and it did.

Oh yeah! I completely forgot about the Seinfeld thing. But I feel like the full circle thing made sense for Seinfeld, since it was essentially a show about nothing. This show was a 9-year-long build-up to an event that they basically glossed over so that the story could be brought right back to where it started.

I seriously cannot believe they did that. I also cannot believe that was the plan from day one, either. Everything was perfect, IMO, until the last two or three minutes.

Totally agree, Maddie. My wife didn't like Barney/Robin getting divorced, but I was okay with that. I was even okay with the mother dying. But those last two minutes? Total BS. I'm just going to pretend that didn't happen and the show ended on the train platform.
