Yes Liam...I did just finished reading "The Da Vinci" code and then went right on to this book. I try to read as much as I can...reading is so satisfying and helps kill the time on the subway and bus rides to and from work. I'm now reading "The Curious Incident of the dog in the Night-Time".

BTW Liam..this icon is my Halloween Icon...Mona will be back.

BTW Addy....I see you as a mixture of Kelly & Ziba. You probably were a cheerleader at one point of you growing years, you can sing, and you're worldly. Plus I can picture you doing whatever your friends wanted and not worry about what people thought or the consequences. re: How I Paid for College : A Novel of Sex, Theft, Friendship & Musical Th

"HOW I PAID FOR COLLEGE is in development at Columbia Pictures to become a major motion picture. Who do you see playing the characters?"

Being this book is going into its 2nd printing...I believe everyone who has read it will want to see it. I know I'll be at the opening. I really think it doesn't need any big name stars. Let's get some up and coming good actors to portray these characters. Edward needs to be a good dancer, actor, and singer. Let's not just settle for someone with a Hollywood name and can't sing or dance. Let's start another "Brat Pack" with this movie.

Regarding Addy's question 15: It seems that the moral of the story is to love your friends and get laid as often as possible. Wish I had known that twenty years ago when I was in high school.

Marc Acito's website says he'll be in NYC on Nov. 18 for a reading at Barnes & Noble-Greenwich Village. Let's all plan on going.

I'm gonna try and make that one barts, as long as it's after work. If not, he also is doing it in NJ..his and my home state.

"Boobs - you are Edward." quote from Addy

Sweetie, what is so funny is that "Corner of the Sky" is my signature song too. I also did hang out at Marie's Crisis and The Duplex. Marie's Crisis is the bar he modeled the bar in the book after, but him and his friends really hung out at The Duplex which he mentioned in an article.

Boobs, I told you that I'd get in trouble! I was taking photo's of my neighbors Asian inspired front yard for y'all and got caught! I was in the front yard pretending to rake leaves and would sneak the camera out of my pocket every once in a while and click a shot. Just as I clicked the "buddha shot" the neighbor comes around the corner in her car. Nailed!!! I know she saw the flash, but god bless her she just smiled and waved as she got out of the car. I smiled and waved back and frantically raked leaves like nobody's business and then slunk into the house. We'll see if I got a good picture. The best part is that on closer inspection, there are actually TWO buddha's in her front garden! Will y'all post bail when I'm arrested after dressing them up? Updated On: 10/25/04 at 08:05 AM

Don't worry..I'll post bail after I give you a couple of hours in jail...I'm sure you'll run into some Ex's while you're there...that'll give you a chance to catch up. re: How I Paid for College : A Novel of Sex, Theft, Friendship & Musical Th

Addy, since I read it I've been contacting all of my old friends to tell them that I miss them and to recommend this book to them. It's been a wonderful experience.

And Cookie, keep trying until you find a bookstore that has it in stock. You can also order from Amazon or there's a link on the author's website (www.MarcAcito.com).

It has practically become my mission in life to tell people about this book because I loved it so.

I'm so glad you're loving it Delphine...I haven't been this passionate over a book in a very long time. I'm telling everyone about it and just can't stop talking about it. It made me relieve my high-school and college years.

9. When Edward visits Mr. Lucas’ apartment, Mr. Lucas talks about how books gave him a reason to live after his accident (“I kept reading, just to stay alive. In fact, I’d read two or three books at the same time, just so I wouldn’t finish one without being in the middle of another–anything to stop me from falling into the big, gaping void”). What do books and reading mean to you?

Reading really is food for the brain to me. It keeps my brain ticking. I get very excited reading, especially if it's a suspense novel to try and figure out who did it. This book gave me a good laugh which is what we can all use..also it make me remember my years I spent doing regional theater and the friends I made along the way. It was a heart warming book for me.

Ok...now I know KMF finished the book and I'm sure Rath has finished by today...I'm waiting for their reviews on it.
I'd like to know which character they can most relate to from their high school days.
