You need a making fun of nickname. As a huge boy band hater, I came up w/ some interesting nicknames for interesting reasons...N' Stink and The Big Nose Clan(98 Degrees) should be obvious but my personal favorite for the Backstreet Boys involved a dream I had one night...I was...somewhere...where I saw them, and though I couldn't stand them, I figured I'd try to get autographs for my friends who loved them...so I approached them and one of them w/ this weird accent said "Hi we're the Backstreet Buas" and another one was like "How many times do I hafta tell you, Backstreet Boys, not buas!" And then they all started fighting...so they became the Backstreet Buas

i'll work on it.



so i just got back from the middle school. i decided to stop in after school so i wouldn't interrupt anything to drop off leftover grades. a bunch of my kids saw me and were really excited. i was in my old room talking to the new teacher and kids were coming in wanting to talk to me. but after, i was in the hall far from the room and i asked 2 girls (who were not there before) how they're doing with the new teacher. they said, "yea, we don't care for her. no one does. she looks like she had a lot of plastic surgery so she can't move her face. and she doesn't have any emotion in her voice. we want you back. all of us do."


it made me feel great

eh, this was more of a teaching-ego boost. since i just graduated in may, i never had a chance to do my thing... i always had to do what my cooperating teacher had planned really. so this was my chance to have complete control for 3 weeks. they were my responsibility. i didn't have much to tell me how i did since no one really watched me as far as teachers or administration. to be honest, i thought i was doing a bad job because one of the teachers on the team would focus more on what i did wrong or could have done better. so to hear the students say something like that was great. it means i might actually be good!

Oh Zeppie, I hate when I'm forced to be serious, but I know how important this is and how much it means to you I'm very happy for you, and hopefully you will use those compliments and be further motivated.

Well...there are certain situations where the sentiment would be completely appropriate

And isn't it more technically to turn all of your drama into comedy and laugh at everything or something? Or i think twas less drama and I added the laugh at it part...

so this past week i went for an interview at Huntington Learning Center, which is tutoring after school for a few hours. I go in and here's my interview:

"Your resume is amazing. It blew me away with all of your experience and all of the variety. You're actually overqualified. Want to stay for training? Your choice."
